So far so good. I also thought about this idea as a story. This was one of the great "what if's" that roam my mind. Can't wait to read more.

hi laura.. thanks for answering my question re: bella's power.

so she's only able to use another person's power when she expands her shield to include that person..so when bella attacked tanya and then suddenly started hearing everyone's thoughts, i assume with that kind of rage, she was able to expand the shield to everyone, not just edward's. so if she paid better attention, she would have acquired jasper's power also right?(assuming he's in the room as well) and alice's? (can she tap onto alice's powers?)

so for example, just in case something like the one that happened in BD in the end, wherein she expanded her shield to include everyone, should that happen here, she would have all of the powers of everyone under her shield right? but she would be able to control it given time.

sorry for all the questions. i'm just trying to understand it better. bella's power here is very fascinating. brilliant! =)

Yes, had she been paying attention and realized what was happening she would have tapped into Jasper's and Alice's powers.  And, yes, if something like the scene in BD happened, she would have the powers of everyone under her shield.  When her shield is out, she's what I'm going to call a mimic--some of this will be addressed in the next chapter.  I'm excited about her tapping into Alice's powers...don't want to give anything away...but if you think back to the books, Bella on multiple occasions (at least 5-6 that I can readily think of) has dreams that predict the future.  SM never does anything with that fact--and when she turned vampire I kept waiting to see if her dream-ability would somehow develop as a vampire, but it never did.  She dreams about being left in the forest; she dreams about Jacob being a wolf; she dreams about Edward and Jacob fighting/being enemies; she dreams about the child being at the center of a battle, etc.--all before these things actually happened.  That could be written off as intuition, like when she was the one to intuit that a vampire had been in her room and that was connected to Victoria.  But I'm going to see it as a power here...

wow finally! i'm finished reading all of the chapters so far. this is really a great alternate story to of what could have happened. i like it. no i love it! =)

i think edward heard bella's thoughts in the end.. when she kept victoria's letter.

and i think it's co cool that bella and edward get to talk in their heads! i wish i could have that power! haha.. but with limits, just like bella's/

and i am loving rosalie here.. hehe.. =) and i don't want any more shit from tanya, althought it does make it a little bit interesting.. BUT, if that little stunt bella pulled on her doesn't succesfully put her in her place, i don't know what else will. maybe when edward and bella finally do get married. =)
