great chapter. but what's the problem with rachel ? doesn't she like bella? is she overprotective with her brother ?

Author's Response: Rachel's a bit hard to explain right now, but it'll be a lot more clear as time goes on. Basically she's just being suspicious of Bella (she doesn't trust that Bella's over Edward), she's overprotective of her little brother, and she's a bit jealous of Jake's easygoing relationship with their father.

Whew that was a lot to take in. Can't wait to read Bella's thoughts on this. I was cringing right along with her, when Jake kept saying "we need to talk" poor Bella, she thought that yet again, she was losing the one she loved.
Can't wait for more, this was yet another well written chapter.

More more more!!! I love this, and I'm not always a fan of the Bella/Jacob stories, but I check this like, ten times a day. I need more! You really capture two completely different characters' aspects of the same story and I'm never bored or feel like it's redundant. Kudos and write more!
Author's Response: Thank you! I love both Jake/Bella and Edward/Bella fics, and I've actually got an Edward one in the works. I just started with this one because SM left such a perfect opening for an alternate chain of events when she wrote New Moon. And the dual POV is probably my favorite part simply because I know how differently people view things, especially in the beginning of a relationship. I love exploring both sides of it!

Wow, I'm seriously smittened with your story! I've just spent the last couple of days reading a chapter every now and then whenever I've had a chance to between work and everything. I'm so impressed with how you've worked out the chapters in both Bella's and Jacob's POV! It's always hard to write a story from a guy's POV cause it's so difficult for us women to actually know what they're thinking as we can't go inside their minds. But you've come as close as you can get and this is exactly how I picture a guy's mind working! It's great. :D
I'm sorry to hear about your divorce but keep up the good work and remember; what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger!

Author's Response: Thank you! I have to admit that I've got a little bit of an inside track when I write the guys' dialogue and POV. All my friends are guys, and I have a brother and an uncle who are both within 2 years of my age. The way they acted and the types of things they said when we were younger (and sometimes even now that we're older!) are a lot of the foundation for the whole pack dynamic. It's actually harder for me to write from the female POV since all my interaction has always been with the guys.

Ok, the first thing I thought when I finished the 18th chapter yesterday was where the heck is the rest!?!? I don't know, maybe I'm blind, but I found it quite hard to find some good fanfic on Bella and Jacob, so I'm really glad you are a wolf girl too:)
I love how you stay true to the original characters, I felt like this is exactly the way they would have reacted, especially Jacob.
I love love love your story and I can't wait for more. That is truely one beautiful piece of writing, and I hope you keep up the good work!

Author's Response: I know exactly what you mean. I read a lot of Jacob/Bella fics, and some were good, some seemed rush, some were so completely OOC that it made me a bit nuts. That's actually how I ended up writing this one. I kept thinking, "No, Bella would have done this...Jake would have acted like this...something like this should have happened..." And before I knew it, I had a whole story brewing in my head!

Great chapter! I love the breakfast part - that is exactly how I imagined it would be! That is so Bella - avoiding the talk and jumping to the wrong conclusions! I really love this story!
On a personal note ... I am in the middle of a divorce as well. Going through something like that is so difficult in so many ways. I'll be thinking about you and I hope everything turns out the way you want it to. I have found that writing and reading Twilight fan fiction can be great therapy!

I'm probably going to fail my midterms for reading this new chapter instead of studying, but it's always so worth it. My heart warms whenever I see an update. I get just so excited. Thank you for continuing with the story. I just love Jacob. And the comparison of the Cullens and Jacob's pack is so true. They are both beautiful memories for Bella, and I'm glad that you realize that. I also love that you wrote that Edward had done what was best for her, but Jacob always did what she wanted. So sweet and true.
10/10 As usual.
