What?? This ending is killing me, but I assume it has something to do with getting back at Lauren (at least I hope)!
I really like that Charlie spoke up. Even though he likes Jake a lot, I think he feels the need to redeem himself from what he sees as not protecting Bella from getting too serious with Edward. But hey, he's only been a full-time dad for about a year, so he shouldn't really be that hard on himself...
Anyway, thanks again for this story. It really makes me smile :)

Hell no!!! I hate cliffhangers!!! :( Great chapter anyway (but anyway which one isn't?) Mike is getting on my nerves. And I didn't like it too when i had to swim during P.E. I always asked the doctor for a medical certificate and I was staying in the school library^^.
Author's Response: I was lucky---our school couldn't afford a decent gym, much less a pool, so other than being forced into running laps or doing sit-ups, P.E. wasn't so bad. I still hated it, though. If we'd had to do swimming, I probably would have dropped out!

So I have to say this. I hate Jake. But in your story I'm able to say, "Maybe he isn't that bad." You write him in a way that i haven't seen other authors write him as. Dare I say it? Fine I will! He is ... Cute in this.
Keep in mind this is just in your story, I still hate him in everything else. But this speaks to your talent as an author. You take your view of Jake and make readers see him the way you want them to. Great job.
I still want Edward and Bella together in the end but I won't be upset if it's Jake and Bella. Part of me actually wants it to be Jake just because he's so good with her. Edward put her through too much.
And I can't wait for Leah's ending. She definitely deserves more :)
Author's Response: The way a lot of people write Jake, I'm surprised anyone likes him anymore. Personally, I can't really find it in myself to vilify anyone, least of all someone who went against his pack to protect Bella and her baby in the books. Sure, he was immature and foolhardy about things, but he always meant well. Of course, no one could really compete against Edward, though, could they? Too bad I haven't been able to find an Edward or Jake in the real world!

That one was short! Gotta say...I love this story. Always will. It's so funny how, for as comfortable as Bella and Jake are in your story with each other...there's always this hint of uncertainty between the two of them. And it always comes back to the fact that the memory of Edward won't just go away. Lovely lovely!
