YAYYY!!!!!!!!! you know what is aweful about going on vacation is? Getting an emai alert on your phone saying, your favorite has been updated. I flipped out and my friends were like you seem kind of jumpy, and i was like well dh im jumpy!!!! Author's Response: Thanks so much for all the reviews. I read a lot of Twilight fanfics, several of them being horrible Jake/Bella stories, before I finally decided to just write my own. I like to remember that despite everything, Jake and Bella are just teenagers, and there's so much more happening around them than just vampires and weresolves. SM didn't spend a lot of time developing some of the secondary characters, but that's worked out well for me because I can pretty much use them any way I want.
I have a bit of a soft spot for Charlie, probably because I was raised by a single dad. I figure he's got to love Jake like a son, and he certainly prefers Jake to Edward, but in the end, Bella's his little girl. I can't imagine he'd simply ignore Bella's feelings and shove Jake on her. Sure, he got a kick out of it when Jake kissed her and she punched him in the books, but had Bella been crying or inconsolably upset about it, I have the feeling Charlie would have tried punching him, too.
As for falling into bed immediately, I just can't see either one of them being that way. Sure, they both have hormones, but the Jake and Bella that SM introduced us to weren't just foolhardy kids. I can't imagine Bella being the type of girl who, after having a kisses-only boyfriend, would just give it up to the next guy who comes along. And Jake...well, yeah, he's sixteen and a typical guy. But I think he's proven that he simply loves Bella. No need to go rushing things ;)

Another thing that I love that you do is that you don't make Charlie head over heels for Jake. Too many people are all "Oh, you want to suck my daughter's face right in front of me, be my guest, at least you're not Edward!" hehe Great job, dear.

When I first started reading your story I was very much enjoying the romance between Bella and Jake but when imprinting was brought up I becamed concerned about it and after Billy questioned Bella about her feelings, I realized that there are too many unresolved issues for this to be just a romance story. So, I took your advice and had a peek at the tread and now that I see where you are taking this I can go back to living in the moment. As the saying goes "Don't go looking for troubel, it will find you soon enough". I cannot wait to find out what Charlie is saying to Jake.
Author's Response: Thank you! I have to be careful not to let the story get away from me, but I think it's important to explore the other aspects of Bella and Jake's lives. They've got families, friends, school, and all the standards of teenage life. Forks may be a small town offering a simple life, but no teen's life is really that simple. I haven't forgotten the drama and angst of my own teen years, and I try to inject a little of that into the story. Jealous girls, mischievous boys, concerned parents...I think all of that is just as important to the story as the supernatural aspect of it.

I love this story. I love that you don't just have them fall into bed together (read one like that once. Edward hadn't been gone six months and Jake and Bella were humping on the beach. Terrible). I also love how everything isn't easy for them. You're giving them reall problems. The real problems she would have had. She loves Edward. But he hurt her, badly. You don't ignore that, but work with that. Kudos.
