aww, Jake's always so sweet, even when he's being a (mildly)stupid(but not really :P) teenage boy! love love loved him stopping because he knew bella wasn't/isn't ready.

Author's Response: Oh, don't worry---these two will not be rushing into anything too fast. I figure some hormones and chemistry is absolutely normal for teenagers, but Bella doesn't seem to me like the type of girl who would just hop in the sack after a couple of weeks. And as much of a typical boy as Jacob is, I don't think he'd let her make that mistake either.

Love the story! I just found it last night and read the entire thing up to this point! First Fan Fic that I think I've been as obsessed with as I was with the actual books. Also, I appreciate your honesty about being bi-polar. I completely agree that people are way too cavalier about mental illness and its impacts and it should be taken much more seriously- as the life altering thing it is. I totally read to escape live you and you've made twilighted my new favorite place to come and do that. Thanks and keep it up! =0)

I love it. When you read Bella's POV Jake seems all sweet and innocent. Then Jake's POV, he is still sweet but holly hell he is not innocent. Bella asks you're not ready for "that" meaning sex and Jakes all "What kind of trick question was that? Of course I was ready for sex. I'd been ready for it since that summer when I was twelve and Naomi Whistler ‘forgot' to wear a bra, giving Quil, Embry, and I a new purpose in life. It was the only reason I'd even talked to girls before I got to know Bella. I was a guy. When wasn't I ready?"
Totally Love it, Jake is so a guy thinking. You're the bomb!!!

I am really enjoying Jake's POV in your story. Admittedly ashamed, but I skip over the Bella POV chapter because it's really hard to find anything in Jake's POV only. So... yay for you!
As for your Author's note, I agree whole heartedly that common assumptions about BPD are way off the mark, but I also think society has come a very long way in the last 10 years.
I do want to say, for anyone reading this, that thre are many many people living quite well with BPD, and you'd never ever know. It's not a death sentence, it's not always a debilatating disease or illness. So long as the person wants to maintain a normal lifestyle and stays on meds and in a doctor's care, it's quite easy to do.
All the best to you as you battle with your illness, and KEEP WRITING!!! I'm looking forward to much more of this story!
Author's Response: Thank you! I think the hardest part of having BPD is simply that so many people don't "get" it. My own father just thought I was being an emotional teenager, and even after all these years, he's convinced that the doctors are all quacks. Personally, I think he's just scared to think that something really is wrong, and I can understand that. Unfortunately, it wasn't so understandable when I was younger. I am lucky, though. My mother is unable to function at all because of her BPD, but I have managed to remain fairly "normal." Sure, I'm a little quirky and not terribly social, but people don't realize it's an issue unless I tell them. You're absolutely right about the meds & the doctors. Once I decided I was just going to follow doc's orders no matter what, the illness became much more manageable.
