I didn't figure out the penny was possessed at all! Only your AN told me so. I expected it to be a vampire, waiting for him to grow up and be old enough to be turned so he could become her mate. I thought the penny was just a focus point she used to keep track of him somehow.

Author's Response:

Thanks for the review. That's a really cool theory. While that isn't how this story turned out, I can see the possibilities for that as the basis for a multi-chapter plot. I have notes/outlines for about 30 stories so who knows when I will ever get around to pursuing/finishing them. If I do try something along those lines you'll get an advance copy of chapter 1!

Spooky! This scared me! (I was scared even more after your second author's note!)

I had a feeling it was possessed when Tanya was killed. I didn't think anything was strange before that. *shivers*

Author's Response:

I think you and I were on the same page. I was a bit blind sided by her death, too. I hate horror movies and gore which is why it's so strange than I ended up writing this. Freaky Bella needs to go away! LOL Thanks for reading. If nothing else, this helped is both get in the mood for Halloween, right?

Hm, I had a different theory. I thought the penny had no superpowers and that picking it up and being saved was just a coincidence. I expected the guardian to be a female vampire - Edward's mate - who was biding her time waiting for him to grow up and keeping him save until then. That would have explained the cold whoosh and why Tanya had to disappear.

I usually pick up pennies for goog luck, too, so maybe I should be more cautious?

Author's Response:

I think the pennies you find are probably perfectly safe, Halloween fun aside. LOL

I had a pretty vague idea of who/what the guardian was when I first started. In my mind it was a being with super powers similar to the twilight vampires and I imagined the first scene as a reversal of the van crash scene from twilight. However, once I started writing, the characters took over and I just followed along. Some things I write are completely from my own head. Others seem to pop into my head and I observe and take notes. This was the latter. Thanks for always sharing your thoughts. Your reviews are very much appreciated!!

I started figuring it out when Tanya got pushed into the truck. She was interfering with the relationship between Edward and his "good luck penny". At that point, I would have gotten rid of the penny. I say this only because I used to own a Ouija board which liked to play coy. I finally sold it at my mother's yard sale umpteen years ago - god help the person who bought it. If I reread the chapter, I'd probably catch some sign a lot earlier but right now I'm a little bit spooked.

Author's Response:

See, that's what is so freaky to me. How could you know before I did when I'm the one who wrote it? *chills* I'm with you on the ouija board thing. I left a friend's birthday party early when I was a kid because they wanted to play with one. I'm not superstitious by nature, but I've heard too much scary unexplainable stuff from people I trust to ever want to mess around with that! Thanks for reading/reviewing!
