I almost didn't read this story because I couldn't get passed the ill feeling I got about the student/teacher thing. But once I started reading it, it's very good. Edward is so conflicted and Bella is pushing him not to give up on their relationship. It's amazing how you've taken such a different story and woven in the same themes from canon! I kind of feel for Edward - my first teaching job out of college was high school...and it really IS hard to separate yourself when you're only 4 years older. Luckily I was already married, but I can imagine how some teachers still relate to those older students. It's unfortunately a very believable situation you've set them in. I'm really hoping this whole thing doesn't come crashing down on their heads...but I really can't imagine how it won't at some point.

Sorry, I'm exceptionally happy. I love how Edward was trying to make himself not be too near Bella, and his internal struggle. Charlie was SO in character. It's so like him, to not care that Bella did something wrong, just as long as he's ok. Some would call it irresponsible, I call it awesome!

What a good chapter. I wasn't sure what to expect when I saw the story... all the controversy over student/teacher relationships and all.. but this is a really good story. I can't wait for the next chapter.

I loved this - I thought that the last chapter was very itimate - I loved the comfort that both of them got from holding hands.
I hope that there are follow-up chapters - you are truly a wonderfu writer!

Great chapter. I liked all the E/B interaction. I'm glad Edward was there for Bella when they told Charlie about what happened. Hope Rose gets better soon and I really like Tanya's character. Can't wait to read more. Please update soon.

totally get why this chapter is necessary. I actually like the way you're not rushing the relationship because it feels so much more real and natural. Can't wait to see how this is going to tie up, I feel like you still have some twists in there? Going off to read Controlled Burn now :)

Great to hear from you! I'm also glad that Tanya has turned out to be a good friend to Edward. It's always nice to have someone to share your burdens with. And poor Rose, I couldn't imagine being in her shoes right now. I hope they put that sicker SOB away forever!
