Adored that Edward fell in love at first sight. That Bella was his whole world from that point onward. I was glad the mugger didn't steal her engagement ring. Knowing Chief Swan he won't get far especially threatening his little girl with a gun. I wouldn't want to be that mugger when they catch him.

hmmm.. i'm a huge fan of the song, but i thought, personally, that it was a bit to literal. parts of it were awesome, but other parts seemed forced. on another note, i'd never thought about the song ending on a positive note, so thanks for allowing me to entertain that possibility(:

This was an amazing one shot. Very well written, and Don't Take the Girl has been one of my favourite songs since I was a kid. I almost wanted to cry a the very end when you used the words of the lyrics in his prayer.
