I love this story. The characters are so well thought out and their new roles so natural it's instantly believable; poor Edward! I'm looking forward to him thinking of a new food source for her, but it works well that he thinks of feeding from evil doers; very in character. I can't wait for the next chapter.
Would you mind if I nit-pick on sentence construction? Sometimes you put an unnecessary 'what' in a sentence when you're not asking a question. One way of checking whether it's superfluous is to say the sentence out loud omitting it. If it still makes sense leave it out. Lecture over :) keep up the great work.

The three vampires were Victoria, Laurent and James, or another three?
Author's Response: Well Victoria, Laurent, and James' names haven't been used when discussing the actual attack, but it's probably assumed, and it's a safe assumptio most likely, it's them because of the reference to the actual attacker having dread locks. James and Victoria have had contact with Bella at one point, though.
