Love this Story!!! Wow what a chapter.. did I miss it before or was this this first time we discovered that Marcus was the Sire to Edward? Nope never thought for one milisecond that James was going to be gone that quick and the sad torturous fact is that they (meaning James, Felix and anyone else with them) just continue to rape and molest Bella's mental defenses regarding James taking her blood, but again that doesn't make him her mate...those idiots apparently are to moronic to get that it takes both parties YES both parties to have the same feelings...even though Bella struggled with the Mating / Bonding acceptance with Edward she felt it...Immensly in fact...Not the same issue with Moronic VampDog James!!!!! Ugggghhh.... okay TY for another rivioting chapter and you know I anxiously await the next update... Laters BB Kathy

Wow. Volterra is obviously a dangerous place... but I'm glad the leaders at least recognize that Edward is innocent of *everything* that has followed from Aro's reading of and interest in his diet. Caius is stupid to take offense at it. Still, obviously it is a significant issue that will plague them whether they like it or not. I hope it won't come back to hurt them.

I must say there was a ton more drama than I expected - and I'm shocked that Marcus allows Felix and his goons to treat Edward with such disdain. Obviously, Edward can handle himself.
So, James is out there... and Edward thinks the Volturi will take care of him. I have a hard time believing this... but it would be unrealistic to see Felix, or any of the Guard to join with James against the ancients edict.
In any event, enjoying your tale and I thank you for sharing your talent!

How well does Felix know James? What impact does James feeding from Bella really have if they were not true mates?

Author's Response: The impact of James' feeding from Bella is nill since they weren't mates or mated at the time. It's just more of a violation for Bella.

LOOOOVVVVEEEEDDD this chapter (boy, you must be sick of me saying this). But I have to admit how much Bella broke my heart in her self-doubt about being a good mate; always feeling inadequate that girl! And Edward is such a gallant knight! Snarky when it counts, but soooooo tender with her. LOVE it. One of my absolute fav stories in fan fiction.
...and is it bad to hope that while Edward and Jasper took Laurent down, that Edward (or he and Jasp/Emmett) DESTROY James? hee hee

Their banter is fun! I hope they don't have to run into complications with Aro. Edward won't have to let him read his thoughts, will he? I'm nervous about Aro's interest in Bella, which Edward doesn't seem to have thought a whole lot about. And James... I smell trouble with him.
