I've always wondered why Renee had custody of Bella. The books describe her as a flaky, childish person with her daughter being the "adult" in the relationship. Don't get me wrong, I know Renee loves Bella very much, but it surprises me that the courts let her have full custody of a child when she clearly wasn't mature enough to take care of one.

The part in the beginning is really sweet I really liked the way Charlie talked to baby Bella and the mental image of him holding her and talking about her future boyfriends is really cute! I thought Renee was just awful though! How could she do that?! It made me kind of mad at her...Anyway I liked reading this so good job!
