Reviews For In Human History

Good job you did here.

though I would think Emmett would call his folks, "Maw and Paw." Grandfather might be "Pap."

Old Don probably would have called the young fellas at work, "you younguns."

I don't think they would have been concerned in the least about drinking and driving. And making "shine" in the hills is STILL a hallowed tradition.

*wink*

You did a really good job with Emmett's story. You left me wondering what happened to his family. Did his brother ever straighten out?

I've really enjoyed this story. Each chapter has been a pleasure to read.

I really enjoyed reading these stories - they are well written and easy to understand. Hope that you will write more in this style. I am looking forward to see more of you on this site. Have a wonderful day,

Hi Nicole,

I have enjoyed each story in this tale. Carlisle"s, Jaspesr's, Esme's, Edward's, Alice's, and Rosalie's. They all told their pre-vamp stories much the way as I saw them. Fantastic job.

However, the best was saved for last as far as I'm concerned. Every thought coming from Emmett's mind was perfect. Your research of the place and time was spot on.

But, your Emmett's personality made me long to be there with him. Hmmmm...my nickname is Ellie, LOL His goodness shone through in everything...even his drinkin' and 'socializin', hehehe. Always thinkin' 'bout his family and lookin' for way to help them. A truely 'good man' that becomes a truely 'good vamp'.

Thank you for sharin' him with us. Awesome job, darlin'.

Hugs,

Ellen xoxo

Author's Response:

Hey Ellen,

Thank you so, so very much for your so sweet and kind review! I really do appreciate it.

Emmett was, strangely because I've never really written him before, the most fun to write. Maybe because he had one of the easiest human lives of the Cullens, I don't know.

Thank you for reading Emmett's story and all the rest.

xoxo

Nicole

I love it!!  The biblical quotes are perfect.

wow.  I really enjoyed this

I always thought that Edward and his mother shared a room, because Carlisle said she was trying to care for Edward even when she was dying.

Keep writing and happy Hollidays!

Author's Response:

I did think about that, but they didn't really have rooms during the epidemic or even in hospitals in general back then. It was all wards with many, many beds in each ward and men were kept apart from women. That's how it was done. So I took what Carlisle said to mean that he treated them both and she constantly worried and asked him about her soon - in the other ward.

I hope that explains why I did it the way I did better.

Thanks for reviewing! Happy Holidays to you too!

Hi!

I want you to know that I am enjoyin' your tales of the pre-vampire Cullens. Each one so far has been perfect, IMHO. I love ALL of the family, but I'm really anxious for Emmett's story. I am definitely Team Emmett, so I'm curious as to what you will do with him.

Keep up the good work, sweetie, as I am lookin' for MORE PLEASE, ASAP!

Hugs,

Ellen xoxo

Author's Response:

Thanks so much for that!

I'm glad you like the tales so far and calling them perfect just makes me blush, lol. Unfortunately, I'm going in order of the years they were born as humans so Emmett's last since he's the baby of the family. Now I'll just be nervous until I hear what you thought of how I did with him. ;)

I will be submitting the next chapter soon but, if you're really impatient to read the rest, they are all posted on FF.net already. My penname's the same there. Otherwise, I'll be posting here fairly quickly since it's all written.

Hugs baack,

Nicole

I think this was the best chapter yet!

Author's Response:

Thanks so much! I'm glad you liked it. It was the first one I wrote and the one that really did inspire me to write the rest.

That was heartbreaking

Author's Response:

Thanks so much for reading and reviewing!

Well, I'm all despondent now, thanks for that.

Don't panic. I don't mean that in a bad way. I just said it cheekily. I like stories that I can feel as I read them, and you definitely hit the mark with Esme'. Nice job.

Author's Response:

Thanks so very much! Esme's story does make you feel despondent, doesn't it? Nothing that happened to her as a human was really good. So I knew you meant it in the most honest way and, to be honest, that's what I was hoping to get across.

I've always felt there was something missing to Jasper's story and that something really bad must have happened to him to make him run off and join the war. And I like to think that he had siblings, so that he didn't leave his mama behind childless.

Keep up the good work!

Author's Response:

Thanks so very much for your review! I'm glad you like the kind of different idea for a story already. It's all written, so it'll update fairly quickly. Be sure and let me know what you think of the other stories within the story!

New reader checking in. Enjoying this story so far. Interesting idea.

Author's Response:

Thanks so very much! I'm so glad you checked in. Be sure and let me know if you like the rest of the family!

What a great series of letters.

Author's Response:

Thanks so very much!

I think Japser just made me cry. I'm a Civil War buff and a Texan so Jasper has always had a soft spot in my heart. Those letters were great. It was wonderful to get a feel for human Jsaper.

I can't wait to see what the stories the rest of the family has. Will you be doingn Bella as well?

Author's Response:

Thanks so much! I'm so glad you liked the letters. I'm a history buff in general, but the Civil War is my favorite period of American history, so I felt the connection to Jsper too.

I had to self-promote, lol, but I am also currently posting an AH Jasper/Alice story that starts during the Civil War and goes beyond if you'd be interested in something like that. I love research, so I try to keep it as accurate as possible. Here's the link, if you interested, Yellow Rose, if not, that's fine too.

In any case, I hope you like the rest of the Cullen stories. Every one was different and some were very hard to write. I didn't do Bella, though, because her history is sort of the same history as mine. That and it's already pretty much been written.

Let me know what you think if you read on!

Reviewer: Zakaira (Signed) · Date: December 06, 2011 05:26 PM · On: In the Name of the Father

I know Carlisle is religious and his father is a priest, but to me, all those quotes interferred with the story more than they helped. It was like I had to stop reading the story to figure out the quotes and after the second one, I just started skipping them.

I can't wait to see what happens with the other Cullens :)

Author's Response:

Sorry you felt that way about the quotes. :(

But I'm so happy you're still interested in the rest of the stories! :) Don't worry, no more long quotes. I promise!
