ok, the first thing I thought of was whips and chains. HA. It's probably some kind of sport thing, like basketball, racketball, rollerskating, etc. ooooo, how about a mechanic bull!!! Like the one people ride after putting in a few quarters and it tries to throw them off! That would be awesome. :-)

I have really enjoyed this story so far. Very steamy and enjoyable. But, I have a small point of contention with this chapter:
"Every person is supposed to be an individual. I’d learned that was a lie. Every woman I’d ever encountered was identical- same high-pitched laugh, same flirtatious lines, same clothes, same taste, and same personality. I had begun to only see them as objects, as identical snowflakes."
While this comment seems very in character for Edward, it seems out of character for a therapist. Keep up the good work. I love where you are going up to now!

I just spent the last several hours reading your story from beginning to the end of Chapter 23. I must say, it is much clearer and thought out than I originally expected. I can wait until the next Chapter!
