Bella has a mental block which forbids completion. Has a lot to do with Mike. Resentment of having to pleasure herself in the first place because of her physical relationship with her ex-husband-to-be. Since it wasn't being done lovingly within her marriage by her husband, pleasuring herself adds to that pain and resentment of his rejection and his lack of attentiveness to her. With enough pain (for lack of a better way to phrase it) over the years, Bella can't bring herself to orgasm. Mentality the fact she has to at all has built up such hurt/resentment/rejection/negative feelings, they play their part when she is in the act of pleasuring herself cause her brain to send loss sensation, blocks her body/mind from completion. Causing her more mental frustration which just adds to the vicious cycle of her sexual frustrations and resentments from her marriage. I feel for Bella. Edward will help her overcome all those negative issues that have been building up over the years and free her. Mike being brought into the ER sounds like he's been pretty beaten up. Can't blame Edward for having a quick case of weak knees. The fact he's Bella's husband and being treated for life threatening injuries; just the thought of Bella and how she'd feel. Even with the anger and betrayed feelings, Mike was a huge part of her life, know lying in the ER. Bella would feel for him and his injuries. Edward can only imagine what Bella would think and feel about Mike being there. She'd definitely go to the ER. She's Bella, the big heart - caring about everyone. It's going to be hard on her, Mike, Mike's family, and Edward especially if Mike can't be saved.
Author's Response: Amazing what out brains can do to our bodies. What a few negative thoughts can achieve. Edward might be a demi-god, but years of lies and sexual frusteration is a lot to contend with. Let's cross our fingers and hope the two can push past it.

Fucking hate crimes. Imma kill all the bitches. I don't understand intolerance, really. Sorry for the anger. I love this story; you're doing a great job!! I love the pacing. Edward and Bella connected really fast, but I think the 6 or so chapters of her and mike's shit first made it sooo more believable. Can't wait to read more!!

You know, oddly I really liked the way you ended the phone sex part. I like it when an author keeps it real - not all sex scenes between E&B have to be Hollywood perfect to be good. It's good to read one that is actually somewhat believable. I have a bad feeling about the Mike Newton situation. Something tells me that whatever happened to him wasn't ordinary like a car accident :(

Author's Response: Not a teacher, but worked as an EA for years, as well as a Behavioural Therapist, and I always hated that peole assumed that the school staff didn't have a life outside of school. We certainly did, and most of enjoyed our friday nights and summers.
