Great chapter. So glad to see Bella Letting go and moving forward in the different aspects of her life. She had a couple of very important steps forward.
Author's Response: She has indeed. The progression might seem slow, but its 10 years she's fighting against. But she's kick ass, so no worries!
Thanks for taking the time to review.

I've heard alot of grumbling of taking stories down on both Fanfiction and Twilighted.net -- what's the scoop there? I'm so afraid to miss my stories being updated! Help!
Author's Response: I think you're safe on Twilighted, but I wouldn't count on it on FFn. i'll keep posting here for sure, so no worries.

Glad Edward was able to force Bella to release some if not all her resentment and anger over being used by Mike. Especially with Mike in the hospital from a hate crime due to his sexual preferences, Bella was taking the guilt to herself It was obvious with her nightmares. She was sorry Mike was beaten. but a part of her wanted to verbally/physically abuse him for all her hurt, rejection, and the lies throughout their marriage and relationship. Edward just gave her the body and the freedom to lash out. Because once she expressed those hates, resentments, and anger, she calmed down and wanted Edward. Edward taking her down to the shower to have her work on her mental block. She was able to with his words, her thoughts and actions achieve her own release. But in doing so, Edward created a monster, which he will be enjoying in the shower with her. Good strategy and follow through on Edward's part. Takes a lot of love and trust to allow her to let go all the frustrations she was holding on to. Also pretty brave being the instrument that she released those emotions onto. Of course, she couldn't take a bat or fist to Mike in the hospital, he's already hanging on by a thread now. It should make it easier to around his family and him by removing that anger/hatred core. Because those emotions would only fester and become greater until it exploded on who knows who the person would have been. A co worker, a boyfriend, nasty store clerk, someone would have received those feelings eventually. Edward was just wonderful to let it be him for her to lash out at and release them.
Author's Response: Hi Ya!
Holding on to that shit is like poision happy or not it would have wormed its way to the serface anyway. So Edward gave her the outlet. Good to see your still kickin' around with us. Catch ya in the next chapter.

Author's Response: There's been a few AMEN'S for this chapter. Haha. Thanks for the review Dixie! Catch ya in the next chapter.

Brave woman - can't wait to see what her 'performance' gets her. ;)
Living in the South, I have seen a lot of nasty attitudes towards, well, anything out-of-the-ordinary. Add in the Bible and all bets are off. Hate to see it used that way, particularly when it's a selective practice of what to implement. Really don't want to start a religious debate here, though. Yes, Mike was a bona-fide jerk for what he did to Bella and surely deserves some well earned butt kicking from her (in the metaphorical sense - okay, maybe a bit of literal swatting as well), but no one deserves what happened to him.
I was thrilled to see an update and as per my usual selfishness I would like more, please? Pretty please? :))
Keep up the good work,
Ginger
Author's Response: Toss anything impassioned into the mix, be it regelion, politics, education and all bets are certainly off. But, unfortunately, that's the way we are, just look at the news, our ability for tolerance is growing, but a damned snails pace. Oye.
You will be glad to know that the next chapter was just deleived to my beta this morning. So keep your panties on my friend!
Thanks for the love,

Poor Mike, no matter how fucked up he was to Bella, no one deserves to be beaten for their sexual preference.
Hope he makes it out of this ok.

I hate that Bella is blaming herself but it is completely understandable. I am so glad that Mike pulled through!
Author's Response: Typical Bella though, takes it all on her self. Thanks for reading, hope to catch ya in the next chapter.

Just knew Bella would find a way to attempt to blame herself for Mike's injuries and how he obtained them. It isn't her fault Mike is a homosexual. Even if Bella had remained married to him and kept her mouth shut, Mike could have still been beaten up by those two boys. It was a hate crime commited by Demitri and Embry. Nothing Bella did or didn't do had any bearing on Mike's beating. It happened. Bella's marriage was a farce, a falsehood from the beginning, a sham, if you will, she always deserved more from Mike. Edward as the ER doctor did everything he could, he notified local authorities when he reallized a crime had been committed. He also had next of kin notified. Had them call Chief Swan first and then contact Bella. Bella is still Mike's wife. I felt Stephen Newton was out of line with his accusations towards Bella. It was nice to see him get poured into the bottle by both Bella and his own wife. It was nice of Mike's family (Mike's mom and brother) to realize the pending divorce/separation wasn't Bella's problem but Mike's. Also that the blame was left on their doorstep as well for not being available to listen with an open mind. Hope Bella will listen to the comments made by Mike's mom and realize that bella had no responsbility for how the information got out into the public or any control over how Mike was hurt by the brothers. It was nice of Edward to offer his place for Bella to come and rest. Closer to the hospital for her to visit Mike and him. Place to be closer to both of the men in her life. Seems like Charlie likes Edward that's a good sign.
Author's Response: Hey ya,
So very much love your epic rants. Bella blames herself, its what she does. It'll take time for her to move away from that line of thought. And yes, Charlie likes Edward, and that's very good considering the dudes a cop and hiding a body wouldn't be too difficult. lol. Thanks for reading and thanks for tossing a little love this way.

I'm so glad Mike made it through the surgery and it looks like he will be ok. Mr. Newton is so off base but I'm sure it's easier to blame someone else than to own up to your own shortcomings, hell he probably has some prejudice himself.
I love Charlie! Take care, Dixie
Author's Response: I love Charlie too and I was so very excited about getting his POV out there. No worries, we'll hear from him again.
Thanks for tossing a little love at this story.

I understand why this had to happen in your story and it's good to see you weren't afraid to go there. People in general can be awful when a friend of theirs comes out of the cupboard (yes it happened to a friend of mine when he came out and I am in Aus. where you think this thing might be acceptable but it all depends on where you live). However, I am looking forward to their little bit of sunshine that you are promising :0)
Author's Response: Yeah, this Aveenue is a little darker, but I'm all about forward movement, so no worries my dear Belled, HEA is a comin'.

You have touched on a very real subject. It hurt to read this chapter cause I know that it does happen that some people are still ignorant despite all the is done to make people aware. I hope that Mike is ok.
Great chapter can't wait for the next.
Author's Response: Hi there hugs,
Would it be strange to say that I'm glad you felt the impact of this chapter? A good deal of energy went into it, so I'm glad it was effective. Thanks for reading.

Am enjoying this story alot and looking forward to the next update!

I love how Bella put Mr. Newton in his place & Mrs. Newton KEPT him in his place!
Hate crimes are so hard to understand. I guess you have to be really narrow-minded to think that's a good idea. My oldest daughter stood up for a gay friend & got beat up for it a couple weeks ago.
Looking forward to a HEA
Author's Response: So sorry to hear that. Crap like that should never happen. I hope your daughter and her freind are well. Thanks for the love, and no worries, the HEA is on it's way my friend.

You did a really good job talking about something that happens everyday in our country and is very under reported. Sadly it happens all over, not just in small towns. Having moved to North Carolina and dealing with homophobia it just makes me sad that people are so narrow minded and can be hateful in the name of god. It makes no sense to me at all.
Merrily
Kat
Author's Response: Hey Kat,
Right you are my dear. Sad and so very pathedic, really. Should never happen, but that can be said about a lot of things.
Thanks for tossing a little love my way.

I'm glad Mike seems to be out of the woods. The perps were extremely stupid not to think of security cameras.
I love Carole Newton.
Author's Response: Carole Newton is kind of kick ass in her own school teacher way. Thanks oodles for reading and taking the time to review.
