Bravo on the flipflopping POV, just needed a quick blink to re-focus each time - nicely done.

Finally got to find out what that smell was! (I'd had all kinds of ideas - you bring out the perv in me, m'dear!)

Wedding everything it should be: family, friends, beloved... Nice inclusion of how true love can bear with cranky travelers!

Of course, I cried during the Jacob part... <><3

Author's Response:

thank you so much!  i wanted to show all the different things that people feel at a wedding, not just the bride and groom.

hee hee!  henna smell!

glad you liked my travel-weary bella, and my gentlemanly jacob...  i hated the hormonal tantrum he threw in the book wedding...  xox!

I take that, like me, you are not a fan of Jacob. Bella was very composed in her encounter with him. No dancing together and all that shit, the way a woman should behave in her wedding day!

I played a little game and tried to guess whose POV I was reading with the first lines of each POV. It was fun!

Bella is already behaving like a bitchy wife after a few hours?? Poor Edward! Haha

Now let's go to the good stuff and have those so expected sexy times already!

Thx for the chapter

Author's Response:

oooh - i love jacob, make no mistake, but this is not his fic, so i hoped to create a more realistic reaction for them at the wedding.  i wanted everything in this story to dovetail back into canon so that when i end it after the honeymoon, those that want more can go pick up BD!!

yes - the way a woman should behave on her wedding, and the way a grown man should, also (jake).

the game you playes with each pov - perfect!  i always try to make it obvious in the first sentence or two - i think it makes you read slower...

poor edward...  after a trip like that, wouldn't you be bitchy too?  LOL

sexy times... comin right up!

Now finally someone thinks like I do about that long trip to get some on an island, basically spending your wedding night on a plane (with no benefits either) -- Bella and I are simpatico entirely on that cluster.  Really loved the divorce court threat -- had a good giggle over that one.  I get the whole picture thing -- it will make a fantastic bon voyage after she is changed.

Author's Response:

yeah -  i coul;dn't believe SM did that to bella in the books!  adn he will get to see the pics they've taken...

Loved it - and I can SO imagine BitchyBella after all that - I just returned home from Costa Rica on Friday and I was rather cranky by the time I arrived, and I had NOT been up all day before that getting married, lol.  So yeah, something much expected, lol!  Very much looking forward to the honeymoon!

Author's Response:

heh - yeah, i hated that SM put them on a plane to brazil on their wedding night...

“I told you earlier that I am, but I’m not really marrying you tomorrow, Bella.  I think I married you the first time we kissed.”
Guh.  That was fantastic!!!

I loved the entire thing!  It was beautiful!  I liked the different POVs at the beginning and the different perspectives that gave us.  The whole thing was just perfect.

Author's Response:

thank you so much!  this whole fic has been leading up to the wedding and honeymoon - glad to know i've hit the mark.

Wonderful build-up...poor Bella.  At least she gets her Edward in the end.  Loved the note from Carlisle, and the vignette with Esme.  They really are a wonderful couple, and wonderful parents.

Author's Response:

i loved writing the little bit for esme and carlisle - so neglected!  glad you enjoyed - and i'm glad you like dhow carlisle honored E's birth parents with the note.  :)

well I personally love the idea of the photos...in all the chapters!!!  There have been many clever ideas presented in this story that I am happy to applaude!!!    Great writing!

Author's Response:

so glad you liked all my little vignettes!  i've had a LOT of fun coming up with new settings and gags that hadn't been done before - the hot springs, the photo shoot, emmett's jeep....  glad you like!

Reviewer: Phae (Signed) · Date: July 27, 2009 09:58 PM · On: The Longest Day

Fantastic wedding day - you thought of every detail.  I sure am wishing we could read about Edward's reaction to some of those photos of Bella.  Then again, it might cause my monitor to melt.  And that would be bad..... right?

Author's Response:

heh...  prepare for melting monitors on the honeymoon...  he will see the pics!

This is one of the most romantic lines I've ever read, and so true to Edward's nature which makes it even better--"I think I married you the first time we kissed.”  For that alone, I bow down to you.  A terrific chapter.  I loved all the different POVs.

I didn't catch the reference to the Dominant, but I'd love to know where it was.  That story gets me going--emotionally, even more than physically.

Author's Response:

thank you so much!  i love writing sweetward lines like that...  *swoon*

the ref to the dominant was is buried pretty deep - google moonstone roses (Bella's bouquet)...  they have a touch of pink on the tips of their petals...  a kiss of desire on the lips?  i love that poem!  beyond perfect for the story line of The Dominant.

i usually don't do that level of detail - describing the color of a flower - unless it's for a specific reason.    :)

Author's Response:

Nice play with the different POVs.

Author's Response:

thank you so much!  i've been looking forward to that, showing some of the different emotions different people feel on a wedding day.

Nice chapter. Can't wait for the wedding!

Author's Response:

Very good, loved the different POVs!  Just finished travelling with my husband so I had a chuckle at Bella's frustration (Hey I didn't get to fly first class!).  I also liked the part where Charlie remembers Edward being "terrified" of him when he returns to Forks.  Were you communicating that Edward acts like that because Charlie needs him to or did Charlie misinterepret Edward's guilt as terror?  Very background question, sorry, but an interesting thought that I haven't seen addressed in other FF.  Thanks and I'm really looking forward to the honeymoon!

Author's Response:

thank you so much for the review!  you're one of the few that seemed to like the varying pov's.  a wedding means something different to almost everyone involved, i loved opening that up.

i love exploring the idea that, in stories, what the writer tells us might not be the whole picture, that what the speaker's pov might show may not be a true reflection of events.  how many times in our lives have we lived through situations we thought we understood, only to discover that someone else's perspective shook our interpretation of events?

i always wondered what charlie REALLY thought of edward when he returned, and i imagine edward being so compliant to charlie's wishes might have been read as fear...  and besides, don't all dads want to believe their daughter's boyfriends are afraid of them?  :)

great question - thank you!

a few more paragraphs would have been really nice here lol :) definitely looking forward to the next chapter!!!

Author's Response:

hee hee...  was that a tongue-in-cheek reference to all teh povs, or are you wishing i hadn't ended where i did?  LOL
