Great chapter but one small thing I gotta question you on.... If Victoria was in the interigation room then Shouldn't her scent in the main rooms be strong enough for Jake to pick up on it?
Other then that small detail... great chapter I loved it!

I would have answered the phone if I was her. I can't believe Jake is willing to go. Also, I can't believe Jake wouldn't allow her to change her mate knowing they physically can't drink humans and vampire mating is comprable to wolf imprinting.
I wonder if during that six week period if Edward's skanks will come a knocking. It will be interesting to see what he ends up doing.
I really think Bella keeping her feelings from Edward will only cause both her and Edward to be insecure in their relationship.
I have a theory that I don't know if I've shared yet but I believe Victoria is the one doing the murders in Chicago and it is sort of a revenge type scenario because her husband who was a businessman (I think??) so killing businessmen to get back at her dead husband.

Carlisle's story is terrible. To witness such a scene... Interesting the fact that his mother was a vegetarian-born. Either James didn't know about her, or he simply lied. Either way, she obviously was far from a nice person. :-|

People tend to be so skeptical about these things...
