Aw, I really feel for Bella's embarassment but I think she's overreacting just a tad. I can't wait to find out what happened with her parents and Jake.

Author's Response: Thank you! Yes, Journey...I heard that song one day in the car and for whatever reason this story came to mind...I sat there with my daughter, who also writes fic, and plotted the whole thing out...
I've never written like this before so it has been an experiment but I'm so enjoying it!
Now whenever I hear this sone I come up with more to stick in here! This song threads it's way through the entire fic. So inspirational!

Oh, wow, I absolutely adored this chapter! I've literally had forty story updates hanging around in my inbox for the last month, so I've had two or three windows a night open trying to read through them and play catch-up slowly, but I had the hardest time taking my eyes away from this chapter even for a second.
I loved the interaction between Jasper and Bella. It felt very natural, very sweet. I like that he's simply a friend to her - there doesn't seem to be any angsty, unplatonic feelings in the mix or even some big brother/little sister complex. It just seems like he's a close enough friend that she understands she can count on him and talk to him, but he's distant enough to give her space of her own. For some reason that really resonates with me.
The pie conversation was so much love. That whole scene, really - the detail, the simplicity. Plus, as someone who only really started liking pies in the last few years, I had a few fun moments where I definitely identified with Bella, lol. And Edward - what is there to say about your Edward? He makes my life.
I'm so sorry to hear about the yucky real life stuff. I hope things smooth out for you soon! Thanks for taking the time to post in the midst of all this. I'll be waiting happily for the next update.

Author's Response: Hey Rachel! Thanks so much! I'm glad you liked the chapter! Yes, Jasper and Bella are really just good friends. He has become the only person she trusts and I think Jasper senses that about her...he knows not to push her. You will see him with Edward a bit and he is protective of her but no overly.
I'm so glad you like Edward. I actually love him to death. I always thought it would be easier to write Bella but Edward lives in my head...he just flows for me. I'm not sure why!

Author's Response: Oh don't sniffle!! I promise it's on it's way! It's actual with the Beta...I sent it earlier in the week so I'm hoping she gets it to me today so I can post it.
It's another long one, 7,500 plus words and it's EPOV. I think it's the best chapter yet but who am I?? We haven't had BPOV yet so we don't know about the CD...but we will.
Smut...well...yes, there will be smut but it's not for a little while yet. Although the chapter has been pretty much written for months! I have a few chapters written that just would vacate the premises of my mind. That was one, and I'm nervous as hale about it. I have sent it to both Kristen (WTVoC) and JandCo and a few others to read so it's not TOTALLY ridiculous...they've approved it...it's actually been coined "soulful smut"...so we'll see if ya'all enjoy it!

Nice chapter! 'Twas most definitely worth the wait...
I enjoyed their lessons of pie (I love describing food and how it can fit certain people :D), and how just before, Bella was longing to listen to music during her bath, and now Edward provided her with the opportunity AND invited her out to the place they had not officially met... I hope the bartender recognizes her hahaha

You know how much I love this story and that I totally understand the in depthness of the pies (-: With that said be assured that I am still anticipating chapter 11 and beyond.
Don't rush it but just because I am way tooooo obsessed and curious when do you think chapter 11 will be ready (-: Couldn't help but notice that you were in the stages of writing it on 3/18 and that got me all sorts of giddy.
Author's Response: I'm so happy I have you anticipating! Chapter 11 should be finished, I'm hoping, by the end of the week. I'm 2,500 plus words into it and I haven't gotten to the actual bar scene yet...
See...this wasn't in my outline! Edward just went and took us there and I really didn't plan for this. It's given me the opportunity to introduce another wonderful RPatz song to the story but I have to write the whole scene...and I'm Just about there...
So...with that said...I'm hoping to be done by the end of the week, then I have to send it off to Kim and Kristen. Hopefully soon???

Wow, Edward sure was willing to put himself out there, and work with Bella's issues! I was so proud of him. Did he talk to Jasper first? Get some idea of what was going on with Bella?
I was proud of Bella, too. She is so scared and tentative. I enjoyed her self-pep talks.

Author's Response: No, Edward didn't talk to Jasper first. And to be honest, I don't think Jasper would betray her confidence, he's already given up some of Bella's past but to be honest, he doesn't really know a whole lot either. He just knows her and her persona.

I like a lot! I have a feeling though that something is going to go horribly wrong between Edward and Bella, causing one or both of them to retreat back into their shells and have to save each other. Maybe I'm just a pessimist. I also feel like Hope would like Bella. Will they ever be introduced so Hope can give her blessing? Edward seems pretty attached to her.

My goodness. Bella's barrier touches home base that I struggle to lash out at her. She's in my shoes and I'm the on-looker begging for her to give up this box she lives in. The only difference is the gorgeous jaded eyes aiding in removing her stubborness.

Awesome chapter! Reminded me of the movie "Michael" with John Travolta and they do the exact same thing...trying all the pie. Although, the part about Hope rattling in her cage...that was slightly confusing because you capitalized it and gave it a feminine pronoun, so for a minute I was thinking about the girl in the hospital that Edward is treating and thought maybe Bella had something to do with it...That was just a fleeting confusion, though. Totally worth the wait :)
Author's Response: Wow, you're so right! I hadn't even throught of that movie but it is similar! I remember that scene, he was such an awesome fallen angel.
I did capitalize Hope, because I was refering to her hope as a person who was caged so that made it a proper noun, it was confusing and I'm sorry for that! But yes, Hope and Hope both have significance, almost a linking to each other in a strange sort of way.
