hmmm, is James plotting against Bella now that she ratted him out ?

Author's Response:

Only time will tell...

Thanks for reading and reviewing!! Here's your teaser!

When the bucket was full I turned the water off, picked it up and turned to leave the wash stall, only to be startled when I found James standing there watching me. The bucket was back on the floor, tipped on its side and soaking the concrete and my shoes, leaving me cold, wet and severely pissed off.

“What the hell are you doing here?” I demanded, righting the bucket so I could fill it again.

“It’s good to see you again too, Bella,” he said, probably trying to sound more playful than creepy. “You know, you could have gotten me in a lot of trouble.”

Laughing dryly, I shook my head and looked down at the water still flowing from the hose, unable to hold his menacing stare. “You can’t be serious?” When he didn’t say anything, I knew he was. Not wanting to get into it with him, I sighed. “What do you want, James? I’m trying to finish up here before locking up for the night.”

“Well, I was here to ask your dad about something but couldn’t find him.” He took a step into the wash stall and I grew a little nervous; it was almost like he was cornering me. My panic only seemed to rise when his eyes moved up and down my body as he took another step and licked his lips. “Maybe you could help me out instead?”

GREAT chapter!!
Love the proposal talk. Get why Bella wants to wait but think an engagement would be okay.

Author's Response:

So glad you liked the chapter! I really wanted Edward's parents to have a say in how they felt about Bella and have the ring be a testament to that vs how they felt about Kate. :)

Thanks for reading and reviewing! Here's your teaser to today's update!

“Do you want me to drive home?” I asked, holding my hand out to Edward as he fished the keys from his pocket.

“Nah, I’m feeling better. Besides, my mom told me we should drive safe.” He snickered and unlocked the doors.

With a laugh, I shook my head. “You’re a jerk.”

Staring at me over the roof of the car before we got in, he winked. “A jerk you fell in love with.”

Rolling my eyes, I got into the car and buckled up, Edward climbing in behind the wheel. “You know, you drive way faster than I do,” I reminded him as he placed the leftovers in the back seat and buckled his seat belt.

Edward leaned over the console and kissed me sweetly, his soft lips making mine tingle and my stomach flip-flop. “Well, I’m going to change that. You and our baby are far too precious for me to risk it all by driving so recklessly.”

He always had a way of rendering me speechless.

Smirking, he sat back in his seat and started the car. We backed out of the driveway and onto the street while I fiddled with the stereo until I found a station I liked. I had to giggle when the song Edward and I danced to the night before came on. Looking over at him slyly, I saw him smirk.

“This song is filthy,” he said with a light chuckle, squirming slightly in his seat. It was then that I wondered if maybe he was getting a little hot and bothered as he remembered our public foreplay on the dance floor.

I reached across the console and placed my hand on his thigh. “Well, if I’m remembering correctly, you quite enjoyed it…” I couldn’t help myself; I had to comment further. “More than me, in fact.”

Groaning, Edward looked over at me for a brief moment. “God, Bella. I’m so sorry. I’ll spend the rest of our lives making last night up to you, I swear it.”

“That might be a little much,” I said, running my hand up and down his thigh lightly. “I think about ten or twenty years would suffice.”

Edward and I shared a laugh, and as my hand continued to move up and down the top of his thigh, I felt a bulge—no, not there, in his pocket. My laugh died in my throat as I focussed on my discovery for a minute.

“What’s this?” I asked, poking the hard lump.

“Oh, uh…” Edward cleared his throat and shifted in his seat almost nervously. “It’s, uh, just something my mom gave me before we left.”

“Uh huh…?” I waited a beat for him to continue, but he didn’t. What was he hiding?

I loved the lightness between them and how Bella is going to milk it for all that it's worth! Now, is Edward really okay leaving that ring off her finger? Seems to be coming up a lot!

Author's Response:

Oh, she sure is going to milk it for all its worth! LOL! And Edward's feelings on not being proposed... Yes, he's okay with it as he understands where she's coming from. He just thought it would be "the right thing to do" while Bella was more about it being "the right time" as opposed to "the right *thing*" ;)

That was great.    A night on the town with a drunk Edward....gah....funny stuff.   I got a little worried there for a moment because I had this horrible feeling that he was drunk and ended up somewhere he didn't know, with someone else...and THANKFULLY I was wrong...lol.   Love how you are able to express Bella's emotions.   Her laughter, her crying due to hormones, her flaring sexual desires....all part of her and the pregnancy.   So perfect.  I can remember crying one moment, laughing the next and absoutely attacking my husband the very next.       You got this down to a T.    Love it.   Can't wait to see when Edward gives Bella the ring.   I'm sure he'll do it with style.   Love it all.

Author's Response:

LMAO! Drunkward was so much fun! Well, till he passed out...then he was just funNY!

I'm glad you feel I've got her emotions down to a T...having been pregnant twice before, I'm really just going off of personal experience :P

Yeah, that little tidbit would be dropped every so often just to tease him....lol. That might happen to her once the baby is born, she'll be so tired.....

Very enjoyable evening out for the couples.  All were pretty smashed with the exception of Bella.  Emmett passed out in the cab on the ride home, wonder when Jasper passed out?  Probably Edward got the farthest upon returning to the apartment with Bella then the rest.  It was a most inopportune time to pass out for both of them.  Actually with as much as he drank he was lucky to be able to perform at all. Edward admitted to his dad he proposed and that Bella wasn't ready for marriage and the talk.  Didn't want to feel pressured into it because of the baby because it was expected.  She wanted to walk down the aisle because they were both so much in love that was the only reason that people would see and they knew it. Very curious what Esme and Bella were talking about that caused Bella to start crying.  Knowing that being pregnant it could be almost anything. Esme offering Edward his grandmother's engagement ring for Bella was special especially since Esme never offered it when he was talking about proposing to Kate.  Esme's a very special woman knows when her son is truly in love.

Author's Response:

It really was an unfortunate time for him to pass out... but it just made it even more hilarious! LOL!

BElla's talk with Esme will be revealed in the next chapter :)

So much about this chapter was just awesome!!!  I love him passing out under her I hate to say TMI but that happened last night hehehehe  I thought oh how Freaking Ironic lmao!!!   I am so excited that Esme gave Edwardthe ring because I can see him convincing Bella to marry him if he can justift the sooner rather then later...  Their right thought people will talk if the wedding is in a few week or if its in a few years..

Can't wait for more drunking Edward is a hoot I had thought ofr  a second he had honestly passed out in the cra and dreamt of having sex with bella instead of following through then passing out hahahha

Author's Response:

HAHA! My husband and I have passed out on each other before--never DURING sex (that I can remember... HA!) but before. It was when our kids were still babies and we were BEYOND exhausted...

I was really hoping that Esme giving Edward the ring was a true testament to how they feel about Bella vs how they felt about Kate.

Him waking up in the car and having just dreamt he passed out would have been HILARIOUS! I might just tuck that little nugget away for another story ;)

Ahh, Drunkward :) Who wouldn't want to grind up on his shit? I know I would, conscious or not lol :) Another good set of lyrics would be "Face down, ass up, that's the way I like to fuck," for future reference lol

What was he hiding?

well this chapter kind of took on a life of it's own so much for our quiet reserved Edward

he has a wild side after all ....and its really hot ...well we always new she has a wild side but the spanking thing reall lit her fire...

and some body should reall explaine to him how dangerous it is to leave a very horney very knocked up woman hanging ...wrong move buddy... she may do some spanking of her own tonight just to teach him how dangerous those hormones can be

Author's Response:

LOL! It really did! I started writing it and it just FLOWED--going in a slightly different (and better) direction than originally intended!

Yeah, that one little smack really brought something out in her...

This was a cute chapter.   Loved the little things.  Edward getting his little baby gift, how Charlie made the little comment about being careful while driving (especially when he has more than just his daughter riding in the car, and Edward's little response regarding I didn't know you cared) LOL!!  Great stuff.   Not really too sure about this strange neighbor, with the crazy dog.   I hope Bones will be alright.   Loved how Alice surprised Bella, by being not surprised about Bella's situation, lol.   So funny.   Of course Alice would know.     Great stuff!!   Edward has a kinky side too...lol!   Hmmmm.   Love it all!~

Hahaa  I knew it I knew it!  Gotta love Alice!  I knew she was the one to find the test and I am surprised she kept quiet so long hehehhe   Look forward to more James is something else.. The horses the dog.. Can't wait to see where this goes!

I loved how Edward's kinky side came out :) Loved how you put Emmett's line for Eclipse in this chapter. Tetris is addicting...I still play it on the original Nintendo. I refuse to give that up.

So I may have to agree with Bella here...accepting his proposal right now, everyone will be saying...oh yeah...got knocked up..got engaged, and then they will get married.   So expected.   Bella wants the world to know that he loves her, but also, I have to say, if they get married later, people could also say...well yeah...they have a kid together, so there you go.   LOL!   You can never please all of the people of the world.   LOL!   Now, as far as Mike, damn...that boy has balls.   To come in, and say he wants to take what is his???  What was he intending on doing?   Slimebag!!  Idiot!   So so so glad Edward was there!   I thought that was the bad thing that you were eluding to at the beginning of the chapter...gah.   So glad it wasn't!    Hopefully he stays away now, but who knows.   And who knows about the pregnancy?   If it wasn't Mike...Hmmmmmm???   Love your story, and look forward to your updates!

How could charlie be such a dick! You can't just move some guy into his daughters house. If you wants the help to move in he has his own home. That is way beyond disrespectful!!! Not happy with Charlie.

At least the mystery of the test from beneath the sink to the sink has been solved.  Alice moved it.  She has known all this time just dying for Bella and Edward to make the news official.  So the house being broken into and things moved has been solved.  It was great of Alice to keep the secret and just wait until Bella was ready to reveal the news.  Bella is very competitive in her video game playing.  Edward is just a little bit better of course he cheats and distracts her with his body.  That's not fair, but it's all fair in love and war. Edward had his mind made up to what he wanted when he won that's for sure. Looking forward to hearing about the evening in the club.  I hope Bella mentions the mustangs to Charlie and lets him decide what to do with the information.  Just from the description of James and his dog I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him.  From Charlie's reaction I don't think he's too impressed with him either.  Why was his dog on the Swan's property to begin with and why was James there also?  If he purchased the Dwyer property he should have stayed on it.

Mama Bella is going to have to learn how to trust her instincts! James is bad! And experimenting can be fun!

I am in shock that Edward didn't flip on her for putting herself in danger running after Bones like that towards a pitbull, And that slime James was the one looking in the window, wasn't he???? Bella better be aware of her surroundings at all times!
