Good Chapter.....

Author's Response:

So glad you liked it!

Thanks for reading and reviewing! Here's your teaser:

We were in our meadow, laying back on our blanket while Carlie laughed as she, Bones and Vlad ran around and around. Everything was perfect. The sun was shining, there was a light breeze keeping us cool as we watched our beautiful four-year old having fun.

Looking over at Bella, I watched as she looked over our daughter with so much love and pride, her right hand moving over the slight bulge of her stomach. It was no or never.

"Marry me, Bella," I asked, sitting up and gaining her full attention.

"Baby…" she whispered, her eyes widening in shock.

I shook my head. "What are you waiting for?"

"Edward…"

That was weird… I heard her, but her lips didn't move.

Suddenly, the laughter stopped and when I looked, Carlie was gone. I panicked for a moment until I looked back over at Bella, whose stomach had multiplied in size at an alarming rate. The look on her face was one of elation and apprehension combined.

"It's time."

Rolling over, I opened my eyes, groaning and squinting against the sunlight that was filtering in through the sheer curtains until I focused on Bella. My beautiful Bella. Everything I had just dreamed seemed foggy and unclear as I took in her appearance: sitting on the edge of our bed, fully clothed and rubbing her belly, looking serene…

Everything came back in a flash and I shot up, panicked and throwing the blankets away from me. "Oh my god! It's time!"

awesome :) sad to see it end, though. you should definatley do a few epilogues or something too

Author's Response:

LOL, most stories are only supposed to have one epilogue :P, but I do have a sequel in the works--have since about halfway through this story, actually, so this is far from "the end" it's just the end of this chapter for these two!

Love Edward--Hero to the rescue--saves Bella from gunshooting happy James. Too many witnesses now if he hits both Bella and Edward pretty suspscious with the retired chief of police next door who can hear shots.  Coming too frequently for a backfiring car or truck.  Plus James doesn't know that Rosalie is just down the road a hidden witness to confirm plain unarmed murder and abuse. Edward had a good explanation for them being on his property.  Eventually James lower his weapon and they left.  Only to report the information to Charlie.  Charlie reported to the authorities and insisted he would talk to Bella soon.  Gave Edward the rest of the day off to take care of Bella.  Edward's furious with Bella for risking her and their daughter's life.  So is Charlie.  Both men understand her love of horses and her reasoning when she saw him beating the horse.  But she needed to come home and get the men to go.  Bella promised to not get involved into anything dangerous again.  right!!!! Like anyone really believes that will remain true.  She'll try, but no guarantees.  Even Charlie mentioned she brings home strays of all types.  Edward was yelled at by Rosalie for not standing up for Bella with all Kate's snide and catty remarks being said.  He apologized for not defending her and telling Kate off since she was attacking them both and their relationship.  Bella said she could handle herself.  Both just wanted all the bad things that happened that day to just go away and dwell on the happiness.  The knowledge of them having a baby girl, their love for each other, the beauty of the ride with Rosalie, the contentment with being together and making love with the one you love.  Edward was going to propose but thought it inappropriate.  Now Bella would have said yes.  Looking forward to the remaining chapters.

Author's Response:

I am so glad you really got everything in the chapter! It was probably one of my fave chapters to write, based on the raw emotion of it all!

“How on Earth did I let you talk me into … holy shit! That’s cold!” Edward cried out as I trailed some frozen yogurt just above his belly button before promptly licking it off. The minute my tongue touched his skin, his complaints soon turned to erotic moans and I had to fight the urge to shake my head and roll my eyes at him.

Licking the remnants of my dessert from my lips, I looked up at his sex-face. “Oh, don’t be such a baby,” I teased, kissing my way down his abs until I had come face to face with his erection. Taking a moment, I pondered my next move.

If cold showers helped to kill off arousal, then I can only assume putting a cold dessert on it will do the same thing…

Though, I’m sure that if said dessert was promptly removed with, say, one’s tongue, it should cancel the cold out, right? Seems logical. I think even Spock would agree…

“Bella…” Edward warned, watching me with one arched eyebrow as I sat up and dipped the spoon into the carton, all-the-while eyeing his lower half’s best impression of the Washington Monument. “That would not be wise.”

“No?” I asked playfully, tilting my head to the right as I lifted the messy spoon from the tub of frozen yogurt and looked at him. “Have you tried it before?” Edward shook his head slowly, holding my gaze the entire time, and I smirked. “Then, how can you be so sure?”

Before he could stop me, I tilted the spoon slightly...

i get that edward was so worried /frantic that he expressed it through anger (i'm a bit like that) but he treated bella like shit ,he's so clueless that it took rose to point out that he should of been doing the talking where kate was concerned, so all all i think bella had a super crap day apart from the doctors and james being arrested for the animal cruelty

Author's Response:

In real life, people mess up. Sure, in a perfect world we'd all know what to say and when to say it, but in the moment, well sometimes we freeze up or think that the person we should be defending has it all under control. I try to infuse as much realism into my stories as possible in order for people to relate. Sure, it would have been great for Edward to swoop in and be Mr Perfect, but that just rarely happens in real life (or maybe it's just MY real life :S lol)

Well, that was very smart of Edward! And I think he was able to get his point across, with some backup from dad! And it did inspire some good makeup sex...

Author's Response:

LOL! Yeah, a lot of people harped on him for being too harsh, and maybe he was, in hindsight, but inthe moment? I think he was totally justified. And Bella knew she messed up, so she understood why they were losing it on her. Glad you got that ;)

That was  great chap and what do you mean by last 2 chaps???  I an't imagine avery Happy James for being caught!!  Then theres teh baby teh wedding the engagement...I am so hoping you meant to say no more cliffies in the next two chaps not the last 2 sniff.....  Can't wait for more as always you did an amazing job!  Ironic enough on Sunday we just adopted a pretty messed up little pup from death row.   Poor thing wasn't even given a chance do to the sheer amount of animals they removed from a farm... sniffle.  Great read thanks again

Author's Response:

LOL! Yeah, only 2 chapters left of HP and then an epilogue. We'll meet the baby and have a few sweet moments between her and her family and then the story will be over. The engagement, wedding, etc will be in the sequel :)

Congrats on your new addition! I've rescued several annimals over the years :)

Ok Angel....you more than made up for the last cliffy...LOL.  That was amazing.   I do have to say that at first, when I saw the title...I thought...OH Crap....what kind of Rescue will Bella need.    You did a superb job explaining and showing us what Edward felt, what his heart and gut was thinking....how he felt when he got that call, and when he saw Bella's horse.    I had tears in my eyes because although I was pretty sure you wouldn't kill off Bella....she and/or Carlie could have been really hurt, or kidnapped by psycho James.   (What kind of sicko beats horses!   Probably would drown puppies and kittens too)    When Edward got to her...my heart was pounding out of my chest.   Very well written!    He was mad, so so mad, and you could feel it through the chapter.   When they got back to the house, and Edward told the guys to clean the horses and they went back to their own cottage, I thought oh hell....this may not be good...but I was so relieved that he was able to explain what it would have done to him if she or Carlie was hurt.   He explained it so so well, and Charlie's response was equally as great.     I also really really enjoyed Rosalie's part in this chapter.   From her conversation about Kate (by the way...kuddos on her giving Edward a little verbal beating over not really going after Kate a little tougher than he did) to the panicked call when Bella was hurt, to the conversation when Edward got to James' farm....very well done..loved it.    The visuals that you make for us are so perfect.   Bella standing in her Star Trek t-shirt...I love it!     OK...so the frozen yogurt thing can be fun....and me thinks you may have tried this one too!   LOL!   Love it.    Can't wait for more.    Hopefullly James keeps his horse beating ass in jail!

Author's Response:

LOL! Well, the next chapter might make up for it a little more too :P

I'm glad you enjoyed this chapter in EPOV and that you were able to emote with him. I really enjoy  writing EPOV for certain scenes (usually the gut-wrenchers, go figure). I really enjoyed wrigint this chapter and I can't wait to play with Edward *giggles* a little more often in the sequel :)

And as for the frozen yogurt... Nah, never tried it... other frozen desserts... well, I'm pleading the fifth ;-)

Well, a little sweet and calm (for the humans, a dog and one mustang, at least) in this chapter. A relief, after all what happend... and James is hopefully in jail for a long term.

Just, couldn't they save a few more horses? That just one survived was so sad... I know, real life is sad sometimes and animal abuse is sad and sickening, I just hoped for a sort-of-happt-end.

Thank you for this new chapter!! Kisses sends you

Perla

Author's Response:

Yeah, hopefully James in in jail for a long time-though, it won't be long enough as animal abusers really don't go to jail for long enough, IMO.

You are the queen of the cliffies. Leaving us with Bella and her belly running for her life off James' property with shotgun bullets flying by her.  Hoping Rosalie hopped on her horse and rode like the wind to find Edward and/or Charlie or both would be preferred. What James was doing to that poor animal was a crime and cruel to boot. The man is a monster to be sure.  If he treats animals that way what would he do with a person.  He's already shown his manners and sense of personal space are non existent.  so if he's made angry his temper would flare and a person wouldn't favor any better than they way he treats creatures of nature.  Now speaking of creatures of nature, let's talk about the ice sculpture, Kate.  She had every intention of seeing Edward thinking he had cooled down from the wedding blow up and weasel her way back into his life.  Until she saw him laughing and lovingly with Bella again.  Then when she saw Bella pregnant she needed to make her snide, insulting, and revolting comments.  I don't know how Bella kept her cool for so long, I would have torn her apart both verbal and physically a lot earlier with all her comments.  As well as I would have expected Edward to tell the witch to move along and shut her mouth. He did do it quietly and personally to her, which made it even more direct to Kate.  Letting her know no way no how to get back together and marriage is in their future because they are for always. So she got physically slapped by Bella and emotionally slapped by Edward.  Total take down witch, you deserved a hellva lot more for your actions before you lost Edward, your treatment of Bella at the wedding, using of Rosalie after the breakup under the conditions, abusing the family when you got rid of their newest family member, and then finally thinking you could possibly come in and sweep Edward back into your life.  Kate you're truly delusional about yourself.  You're not that good looking, that rich, that great a personality, that great of anything.  You're not worth anything at all to anyone except maybe your daddy who doesn't know you killed his grandchild because of your selfishness.  Good thing you don't know Bella because she's not anything like you at all.  Bella has something that Kate has never had and that's a heart and feelings for others. Looking for Edward, Charlie, and authorities to come and rescue Bella from the very bad man, James.

Can't wait to meet little Carlie Elizabeth! it's such a beautiful name! It was great that E&B didn't have so much trouble choosing a name.

I had a good laugh with their kinky time! it was hot! I almost needed a cold shower.

finally... OMG!!! (again) please don't let James hurt them, I knew that guy was bad news from the moment he cornerd Bella and maybe since Vlad atacked Bones...hope Rose gets back with help in time.

Ok, now I'm off to College, I have a final in an hour :S wish me luck!

Ugh! When will Bella learn to be cautious? After Edward gets her safely home he should put her over his knees and spank the crap out of her! Okay, maybe that's dramatic, but he should be really, really mad!
