Hmmm...

So, Bella was able to expand her shield BUT not able to maintain it due to her distractions.  Thanks to Sam, and his element of surprise, the Cullens were able to turn that fight around.  They could have destroyed Felix BUT Carlisle wanted a diplomatic solution.  Aro only took it BECAUSE he had no choice.  At least Edward destroyed Alec - although Jane appeared to passive in her response to her brother's demise.

Like any story telling in someone else's universe, you need to analyze the fight and ask one simple question.  Was the fight and the outcome plausible?  The fight was... the outcome not so much.  Unless you made your Aro more honorable.

The story is an awesome ride... and it was very touching between old Quil and Bella.  Well done!

Thanks again for sharing your wonderful talent and I'm assuming ther emihgt be a chapter or two to include an Epilogue.  :-)

Jane kind of lost her will to do anything after her brother was killed.  Grief can be like that.

I think that fights and their outcomes have the possibility to twist and turn and surprise even those who orchestrated them -- for better or for worse.  So it's entirely probable that an implausible outcome...happens. *smile*

I'm so glad you liked the time with Quil and Bella. :) I loved working with their relationship.

The epilogue is very short.So short, in fact, I had to add my author's notes to it to make the length requirement here at Twilighted.  I pretty much told the story I wanted by the end of this chapter. :)

He relaxed though, each time, as he grew accustomed again to her throwing herself in the path of what his instinct perceived as an enemy.'       Vampires teaching a werewolf to fight vampires.  The world must be upside down.  Is it awesome or what?       :-P

    'Edward's exasperated shout surprised Bella so much that she froze as Sam spun to knock her off balance. "Hey!" she protested, flying through the air to hit a tree.'       LOL!

  "Edward! You're not dead after all. I rather suspected as much."  Oh, CRAP!!

  'Black! Black and lethal and furry and leaping, all teeth and claws and power! Sam Uley emerged from the trees, his open mouth unerringly encompassing Alec's head, ripping it off with a horrific screech.'  And Sam Uley saves the day!       X-D

  "She has destroyed without provocation and allied herself with the enemy."  Yeah!  Without provocation.  Right!

  Hmpf!!  I think that burning Aro to ashes would be much better than banishing Bella from La Push.  Well, what one can do?       :-/

  Sincerely, I hope she sneaks in from time to time, to visit.  Who will tell?       :-P

  "So I guess I get to see you get married again, eh?"       "Looks that way. Can you do me a favor?"       "What?"       "Would you...would you give me away?"       Tears made a sudden appearance in the Elder's dark eyes. Yeah, I know, right?  I always intended for Bella to teach Sam. In canon, he's gone for "a couple of weeks" after he first changes into a werewolf.  Same goes here, more or less.  Except instead of spending the time trying to find his human form, he's learning to fight. I liked it. lol

Yeah...Aro and the Oh Crap moment. I know. Don't you LOVE Aro's presumptions?  Sigh.

How exactly did they keep the plan from Aro again? I'm assuming Jasper doesn't go because he's fully aware of the plan but... it's just kinda too confusing to me haha

This disception is not going to work ultimately.  Aro will find a way and then all the Cullens will have their punishment served to them.  O.k. I'm hoping it does work - of course but when have Bella/Edward just had fun and happiness without a threat over their heads.  All Aro will have to do is touch Edward and BAM.  Yep, I don't really see this working out in their favor.  Keep writing cause I'm still reading.

Solid chapter!  The letter was awesome... words I could picture Aro saying exactly.

Bella and Sam's interaction - spot on.  I think you captured Sam perfectly and I loved the way Bella handled him.

Jasper and Bella's interaction - and the comments regarding how Edward was going to react when he got wind of what Jasper was agreeing to do - SPOT ON!  I love it!

Like usual... enjoying... still quite intrigued as to how this will all play out.  Look forward to when Bella is living as a Cullen - and takes the Cullen name.  :-)
