I'm proud of Edward. he did some major growing up in this chapter.  I am also very impressed by Carlisle's monkey bar talents.  Very impressive Dr. C!

Hey! I love this story. This is what a lot of single mothers go through. Very realistic. How long does it usually take to update the story once you submit?

It really is. There are a lot of women out there faced with these types of decisions every day. It's very easy to say that they should behave one way or another, but in this case, Bella made a decision based on what she thought was right. Was it? We'll find out. :oD 

I have already submitted the next chapter. The time frame varies, based on the Twi'd beta, but I'm in constant contact with mine so it shouldn't be too long.

Edward finally got a good look at Charlie.  Definitely can't deny him at all.  Didn't even need a paternity test once he saw him face to face.  It's obvious to him.  He saw facial expressions of Bella on him that he thought were so cute.  Hard for him not to smirk or chuckle. When Charlie took him into the music room and heard him play the piano another trait from him was another proof.  Charlie was good. He was actually feeling a little proud.  My son -- Our son.  It's still a shock -- after 4 years to learn about having a son out of the blue.  But all the clues since he has been home when no one mentioned that the boy using his piano and drawing pictures for the fridge was his son.  Annoying since it's like he wasn't including in the family any more -- he was an outsider -- a pariah or something.  Yes when he learned it -- he didn't take it very well.  But his siblings and parents had some time to adjust and accept it as fact.  Actually they were happy, but they weren't actually the parent, the one responsible for begetting the child. Now that he knows the child's full name and realizes Bella never used the Cullen name, never attempted to force Edward to marry her, never approached him, never approached his parents or siblings, and never asked any of them for help or money.  She's not a golddigger.  It just happened from the one time in his room at the party after graduation.  I think he's starting to cave in now.  He's actually met Charlie, watched him at the table, interacting with the family, joking with Uncle Emmie, accepting him as Eward.  Not sure Charlie will understand when Edward's finally introduced as his daddy, that might take some time to sink in and make sense.  It will take a lot of convincing to Bella that Edward is serious to be a part of his life.  Edward doesn't want to lose his family, since they plan on keeping both Bella and little Charlie close to them, if Edward wants to be welcome at all times, he'll have to accept and be a part of his son's life as well.  I don't think it will be as hard as he thinks it will be, he's right it is a big decision.  It's a lifetime decision.  Can't be quick, it's a long time and will effect his family life as well.

Yes, this experience is still very much confusing for Edward. The emotions are all over the place. How is he supposed to feel? What is he supposed to do? This is really a tough decision. They have so far to go. Will he decide to be a part of Charlie's life? Will he and Bella be able to get along for the sake of their child?

I really love how Edward is finally getting to feel a little more like a dad, well at least that he has a son.   He has made some type of connection with Charlie and you can feel his heart startening to soften.   He wants to talk to Bella at least and see where everything is going, which is a great sign.   I love how Esme was willing to kick out her own son for Bella, and how Edward was shocked that Esme would do it.....priceless!!!   Love it!   Charlie is just soooooo cute!!   Want to scooop him up...all of his great words for piano and sweepy....lol.   So...so....priceless.   Can't wait for Edward to dislodge his head from his ass.   Should be good!    LOVE IT!!   A definite FAVORITE!

This is wonderful!

I never read stories that are not completed because I can't stand the suspense of waiting for the next chapters to be posted but I couldn't resist when I came across your story! 

It's fantastic and the anticipation of his meeting with Charlie is killing me!!

I hope you post the next chapter(s) really really soon!

This has got to be one of the best stories that I have read!
