Loving this story so far

Based on Rose and Alice's statements on Bella's sex life can't blame Edward for being upset and down.  The girl he has been and still is crazy about has gone to Seattle to another man.  It's hard to take for him especially since this man has been there for her through her pregnancy, the raising of Charlie, loving her, etc... Between jealousy and heartache it's pretty difficult to remain sane.  The way Jessica is obsessed with her pursuit of Edward, I really am surprised he hasn't filed sexual harassment against her.  The multiple times she has caught him in a corner, she wasn't at her post working.  Who was covering her station?  Bella walking in on them, embarrassing especially with Charlie.  Edward's fear of Bella taking Charlie away from him.  He has no idea of his rights of visitation towards Charlie.  Both are afraid of losing Charlie.  Edward is so afraid he'll do something so drastically wrong that Bella will forbid him access to Charlie and to her.  He has requested Thursday mornings off to meet Bella and Charlie at the park.  That is so sweet and cute.  He is really getting attached to Charlie.  I had an idea it was a gift for Charlie that was the reason Edward wasn't there to help Bella move into the apartment.  I would never have thought of a piano.  A perfect gift for Charlie though with his love of playing Edward's piano in the main house.  Now he has a piano he can play any time he wants to with his dad giving him lessons too.  Very special.  Charlie is a very lucky boy with a specially made bedroom and his piano in the guest room.  Playground in the backyard soon to have a sandbox if one hasn't already arrived for him.  Soon he won't need to go to the park he'll have the park in his backyard.  Since moving in Edward and Bella have been getting along really well.  So well that Edward actually asked Bella to join him along with Alice, Jasper, and Emmett to meet with classmate Tyler in a send off evening before he left for college.  Edward wanted to be with her in a public setting.  Everything was going really well.  She had no qualms about touching Edward, everyone was having a great time. How could Edward go outside for air and what luck be propositioned just as Chief Swan drives by with a known hooker.  Charlie had not a 2nd thought about arresting Edward and locking him up.  Giving him one call after Edward confessed he didn't do anything, he refused her/him.  Nothing happened, Bella's going to take Charlie away from him because of this.  Chief said he wouldn't lose his time with Charlie, Edward didn't believe him.  Edward called his dad and message on voicemail.  Carlisle said would have one member of the family come and get him.  It was Bella which made it all the more embarrassing for Edward.  He was amazed Bella was giving her father the riot act over arresting Edward and keeping him locked after her/him called in saying he denied offer.  Charlie did it to let Edward know how he felt about what happened to Bella. Bella was happy that Edward's MIA from the bar was being in jail by her father rather than his usual habits.  So kissing her knuckles is another step in them getting closer together.  From holding hands, touching the lower back, grabbing onto the back of the shirt, just to stay together in a crowded place.  Both want to touch, joke, laugh, and be together in relaxed, open, happy, and free from stress, drama, and tension environment.  Looking forward to the next chapter.  Thanks for the teaser.

There is a lot of pride at work here.  Bella knows she was wrong to keep Charlie a secret from Edward, but even though she's addmitted it to Alice, she doesn't really sound like she's admitted it to herself. 

And Edward is responding exactly as anyone would respond.  I'm not sure why everyone thinks he's being such a douche. I mean, he's not being nice, but I wouldn't be either if someone sprung something on me like that.

In fact, I'm not sure why the entire Cullen Clan isn't screaming mad at Bella. She kept a HUGE FREAKING SECRET from them for three, almost four years.

And I'm not saying that Edward is a saint and that Bella is the Devil in this tale, there was a lot of wrong doing going on on both their parts, but at this point I think Bella is worse.  Why shouldn't Edward be pissed?  Bella springs a three year old on him he never knew he had, pitches a fit about him wanting a paternity test, and then gives him a really freaking short deadline about when he has to decide if he wants this child or not. 

I think she's the one being unreasonable.
