Really enjoying your story. Why is Edward being such a douche? Will we get insight into that later?
Just wanted to mention that I'm adopted and I am a mom through adoption. These days, there are actually more sensitive terms regarding adoption than "give up the baby for adoption". No birthmom EVER gives up her baby; that child is in her heart forever. She will always be the first mom, with a unique, 9-month relationship with the baby. "Giving up a baby" also is language that is demeaning to the child and can make them feel second rate. "Putting a child up for adoption" has really negative historical connotations relating to the Orphan Trains.
So, a mom who chooses to become a birthmom "makes an adoption plan for her baby". It is the hardest decision she will ever make, and she does it out of pure, unselfish love for her child. It's a decision that is going to haunt her and hurt her to some degree for the rest of her life.
Back in the day when Bella would have been born, adoption was far more draconian: closed adoptions, sometimes birthmoms not even being allowed to see their babies before they were whisked away, just a whole lot of shame and secrets and lies and silence. Renee chose to parent Bella then. I think the bitterness came later. I HOPE the bitterness came later.
I didn't find out I was adopted until I was in college, but my children have always known their birth families. We have open adoptions with local families, and it is wonderful. The littles have no questions that can't be answered, AND they have twice as many people to love them. It's been win all the way for us.

I think Renee's bitterness i think came from her pregnancy and then after she was born. I've always thought that Renee (even in the books) wished her life had been different. She loves Bella, yes, but i think Bella came at the wrong time.

Despite his excuses I don't think that Edward really understands how much he hurt Bella, just saying "I'm sorry" isn't enough. "I'll do anything.” Well, that remains to be seen, as for startes it would entail not going away to college. Don't think he's considered that at all.

Hi,
very promising first couple of chapters indeed. Edward is being a serious ass right now, there are really no excuses to be made for him apart that he's young, scare and inexperienced, which really aren't excuses at all. Same applies for Bella, and she's the one who can't turn her back.
I wonder if Edward really said those things to Tanya, or if Esme really prefers Tanya over Bella. At least Alice witnessed it, so she can kick his ass.

The end was so not cool! You are an evil evil woman lol. The theme for Edward and Bella's relationship, at least in this chapter, should be "Not Meant To Be" by Theory Of A Deadman.

Question.... who is related to who and how? Edward mentioned his brothers Em/Jazz and alice is his sister.. and rose is part of the family. but it has also be implied that Em/R are together as well as a/jazz. Just wondering who is whom in this story.
