I have to say I understand Charlie. I had this happen in my family, not exactly the same but my son in law and step daughter. He abused her and left her with 3 children and no money. Long story short after 20 some odd years of heartbreak she finally left him when the kids were 17 and older.  She stays out of this marriage for a year then she goes right back just like always.  We have bailed her out with our money helped her and she won't help herself.  This caused her and her father to be estranged for the last 3 years.  I told her when she called to tell us they were back together " your forgiving him will be easier than your father.  The things that you told us he did are hard to just forget!" 

I understand how Charlie feels, but in this instance Edward was a teenager and since then he has been trying. So you have to let him earn this back.

I totally understand him, too. Somethings are too hard to just forgive and forget and i think for him, this will take a while for Charlie to get over. He wants what's best for his daughter and it's going to take some tme to accept the fact that Edward makes her happy. It'll take some time, and a lot of effort on Edward's part, but it'll take time.  thanks for reviewing :)

wonderful. I'm glad Alice gave Edward such a hsrd time. Some people just need that extra push over the edge.

I liked this chapter a lot.  I like where things are heading for Bella and Edward.  I'm hoping they don't get messed up again.  Mayeb charlie will come around eventually (although I don't blaim him for being hesitant with Edward). 

Funny thing, I'm about to get off the computer to make some chicken and rice soup myself!

i really hope that edward has changed and that renee stays away and that bella can really trust edward to do the right thing!

Edward and Bella finally had the long talk between them about what happened between them. He left because he was scared.  All that responsibility thrown at him all at once.  A teenage boy having to face being an adult in a moment.  He had to watch all his dreams and youth go up into flames knowing that he had to become a man.  Learn to make his way in the world.  Need to  take care of more than just himself.  Need to think of their needs before his own.  But their heart to heart talk along with his treatment of Bella and the twins has improved greatly.  He is doing everything he can to take care of them all.  He has told Bella anything that she needs all she needs to do is ask.  After her mother messed up her checking account with an insufficient check, he put funds in to cover the deficit and more to cover expenses for her.  He also placed funds into the twins maintenance account. His parents bought him the house to allow him some privacy with the twins and Bella.  In order to work through their difficulties without interferences from members of the family.  Their long weekend due to the snowstorms gave them extra time together to talk more things out and spend time as a family with the twins.  Alice being upset really has no business getting into it.  Yes Edward did abandon her when she needed him the most, but he has made a tremendous effort to correct that.  He has tried to prove to her that he will be there for her and the children.  He has told Tanya off and to take a hike.  Whether they get back together or not if Bella and Edward's decision.  If Bella can forgive all Edward has done to hurt her and accept him back in her life, then Alice as his sister will need to also accept that.  She has to forgive her brother eventually as well. The man can only say he's sorry so much.  He can't change the past only change himself and the future.

Aww. On the mend now :) I'm just like Edward. I sleep with 5 blankets in the winter too, though, if I slept with Edward every night, I doubt I would need all those :) I'm so proud of Bella for standing up to Renee.

well that was just too sweet but i just have not leared to trust him yet either what happens when Tanya finds out he has his own place and shows up and you know she will....... will his horney alter ego surface and his will power to have easy sex  surface
