Edward came back in better frame of mind ready to admit his love for Bella outright and make a commitment.  He thought of Bella all the time while he was away.  Knew where she was at all times due to the charm.  While Bella was left behind with no contact he broke her heart, she already had made a commitment, already expressed her love verbally and physically.  Was crushed and devastated not sure if he would ever come back because he needed to leave to keep her safe and elevate his anger and dark side.  Arriving home when he's ready with no forwarning for her and expecting Bella to take him back with open arms and no reservations.  I think that's expecting a whole lot without any guarantees that it won't happen again.  At least she didn't react like Rosalie and she had a perfect right to do so especially when she knew he was watching her with Tyler, by computer with charm, deleting her emails from Jake, etc... Pretty nervy on his part since it was his choice to break up with her what right did he get to monitor her and what she did or who she communicated with etc...  Edward financially bound James figuring that would cease his pursuit to kidnap or pursue Bella further to get at Edward. Bella's grandmother passed and she was called to Florida for funeral and help her mother pack her grandmother's place.  Edward sent to retrieve Bella to attend Alice and Jasper's engagement party.  What a charmer Edward is, Renee was eating out of his hand within 5 minutes after he talked with her.  Made Alice and Jasper's evening when Bella arrived for the party.  Edward during the toast admitted his love for Bella to the entire gathering.  Talk about a change for the man who thought he could never love anyone.  I enjoyed Tyler's remark when Bella was crying if she was okay if not he really didn't want to kick the boss' ass.  But implied he would if necessary.  Very humorous and Edward not even the wiser that Tyler would do it in a heartbeat.  Edward really has changed with his fast temper flare-ups, fast to misunderstandings, fast to yell and bellow, fast to dictate,etc...  Really being a mellow jello kinda guy.  Wonder if that will change once Bella agrees to fully come on board and back 100%.  He still has a problem with dropping all control, but he's not trying to be Caesar or Napoleon at this time.  How long until he's back to those days who knows?  Bella hasn't given in completely 100% to Edward she still has doubts and is taking her time before jumping in with both feet.  She's mudding up the waters, but hasn't taken a dive in full body agreeing to everything and forgiving Edward for all he has done in breaking her heart.

I don't think she gave in too easily. Sometimes I get so frustrated with stories when people deny themselves something they really want because they think that is how they are "supposed" to act.  I think Bella did exactly what she wanted as soon as she was ready to do so and that's how life should be.

Well, Well, not real sure what to say except....Wonderful! I loved this chapter and how he is so determined to prove himself and she still has enough wits about her in the beginning to want to make sure before accepting him back in. Also, a little jealousy on his part was nice, he deserved it!
