Loving this story...finally Bella is letting Edward in!!
Author's Response: Thank you! She is finally letting him and he is letting her in too.
Here's a teaser for you:
“No kidding,” Emmett said under his breath but loud enough for all of us to hear. “You all are actually speaking.”
“Ha, ha, Emmett,” Edward muttered sarcastically. “The situation is kind of serious, and I, well, we need you to be aware.”
Alice’s and Esme’s eyes grew round, and the boys stilled. Rosalie just leaned back in her chair and waited for the explanation.
“Before our trip to the Spencers’, someone dropped off an envelope of pictures for me. They were of Bella at a night club, and could have been taken very negatively.”
I patted his leg and rolled my eyes, remembering all too well how negatively they had been taken.
“I asked Demetri to look into the matter, and it appears that someone close to the Windemere family has been following Bella. This isn’t the first time that James Windemere has attempted to interfere with our marriage, and I am concerned that he is going to escalate his . . . actions.”
Emmett gave Edward a look clearly meant to display what he thought of Edward’s accusations. And knowing how Emmett felt about Edward’s own behavior, I was sure that whatever came out of his mouth wasn’t going to be kind. “First of all, what would James do to interfere with your marriage that’s worse that what you managed on your own, and second, why would he care?”

nice to see some progress in the mending of the relationship. Plus Bella is coming off as slightly more mature and less emo.
Author's Response: Bella is finally starting to come to terms with things, but she is young and she is hurt so the emo will return from time to time.

Hi
I am so glad that they got the talk out of the way so that they can try to move on - I know Edward has got to take some responsibility for what happened, but at least we now know that the interaction between him and Tanya wasnt started by him.
I loved that he burnt the couch and that other than Bella (at the moment) no one else knows why he did it - I thought it was very touching.
I hope that they can move their relationship to the next stage soon - I think that they both need that connection to see them through what I think is going to be a very stressful time for both of them.
I know that Edward likes to become protectward on occasions and hope that he doesnt over do it otherwise he will just p*** Bella off and be back to square one.
Cant wait for the next update.
Author's Response: Thank you! That was a very insightful review and spot on. While they are moving forward, these two will take things as baby steps.

BTW, I forgot. I also wanted to stand up for Bella in terms of the "I didn't talk to him either" thing. As we already know, she was 15 when she got married! I know Bella is more mature than 99% of the people around her, but that still does not mean that she should be a relationship expert at 15 years old. There's something to be said for adults actually acting like reasonable adults. Bella has a corner on the market at 18.
Author's Response: I agree to a point. Bella wasn't the adult, so she shouldn't have had to make a move. However, she should have known something was amiss and questioned it. She didn't and that didn't help them either.
Thanks, bb!

Okay, so Edward wasn't raped or anything, but I think he was certainly taken advantage of. I think him burning the couch is a really good thing, actually. I like what it represents.
Great chapter!
Author's Response: Tanya did take advantage of the situation, yes, and she did it for her own reasons. The couch burning was so symbolic to me and I am glad you liked it.

I've been reading this story, and I have to say that this is increadibly well written and so very relateable even though not many in the western world would probably have been in a similar situation. Everything is so well explained and I love that you have both Bella's and Edward's take on the beginning. I really love this story and the complexity of these characters because while the emotions are all over the place it is so very real because in real life situations, emotions are all over the place, not to mention the different emotions and hormones that are "involved". I am glad that Bella showed willingness to see that she contributed to the distance, and still be able to see that the affair was in no way her fault. I really like that she has esteem issues but not riddled with them - if that makes sense.
Author's Response: I am really glad that you see it this way! I have worked really hard to keep this as realistic as possible, in such a unique situation. There is nothing easy or straightforward about it, either. Thank you so much and I hope I continue to live up to it.

See? I told you things were getting rather steamy!
LOL @ Edward dragging the couch out and burning it, but Bella's right, it's the memory that counts, the feel of the room. Not that I'd ever SIT on the couch myself, but you know what I mean.
You confusing chick! Saying people want them to have sex while they're TOTALLY not ready for it, and then squeezing in a mini-lemon after all... tsk tsk tsk. ;-)
Hmm, are you going to look odd at me if I say I still need to read the previous chapter, mostly? It's been open in a tab, but I haven't gotten to it yet. I'm sick again, bleh, and decided to snuggle in with some Red Sweaterboy earlier this week. Half way into that fic, so I'm gaining ground on what I want to read! Now if only I'm going to manage not to pick up new fics... so I'm winning against the big pile of fics!
See ya next week. Have fun writing.
Spikey
Author's Response: Um, yeah, there are a few sideways glances here. LOL! They aren't ready to have sex, but that doesn't mean they can't do something in the meantime, right? Thanks, babe! I'll see you in a couple days. In the meantime, here's a teaser:

Is Bella in danger? I'm finding that part of the story a little confusing. Way to take some initiative and burn the couch, Edward! So glad he and Bella are getting closer.

“First of all, what would James do to interfere with your marriage that’s worse that what you managed on your own, and second, why would he care?”

i am so glad she is on her way to forgiving him and i love that she is allowing him to get a little more intimate. Cant wait for an update.
Author's Response: It's a long road to forgiveness but they had to start somewhere! Thank you so much and here's a teaser for you:
“No kidding,” Emmett said under his breath but loud enough for all of us to hear. “You all are actually speaking.”
“Ha, ha, Emmett,” Edward muttered sarcastically. “The situation is kind of serious, and I, well, we need you to be aware.”

I thought it was perfect....they didnt just jump into sex but they explored each other a little more!
Author's Response: I'm glad you liked the start of their physical relationship; they have a long way to go before they make the final jump, but we'll get there.
Thanks, and here is your teaser:

Hmm...Edward really is kind of dim, isn't he? Not to make the Tanya connection to all of this? At least he is showing some real remorse. I still want him to explain exactly why Bella should trust him completely, but clearly progress is being made.
Author's Response: Edward and Bella will have more discussion on the trust issue in future chapters. Poor Edward is a little clueless sometimes. Thank you so much and here's a bit of 14 for you:
