OK, still a little confused.  How old is Edward? I don't understand his reasoning, 2 years, becuase he thought she was scared and ignored her and never talked about it or showed her she had no reason to be afraid?  I hope the following chapters explain in more detail what that is about.  Love the story.

So, so happy that they started marriage therapy.  I truly believe this will help.  It will be difficult and may gets bad for awhile but in the long run, will be beneficial.

I do love how caring Edward is with Bella.  It was great to see her be more intimate with Edward.

I must say that I have become fascinated by your story! I actually avoided reading this story for so long because it does deal with the topic of arranged marriages which is something that is so foreign in the American culture. True, arranged marriages do exist for business purposes and other reasons, they just aren't as common as they once were.

I find however that saying what Tanya did to Edward while he was drunk was not rape is extreme. I actually went back and referenced each of the instances before penning my thoughts. For both the kiss under the mistletoe and singular instance on sex, Edward stated that it was not what he wanted. In the description of the sex scene you even say he went so far as to push her away though she continued along in her quest to get what she wanted. If that had been reported, it would be considered rape. While you as the author know what you were going for in the scene, I feel that to say what occurred wasn't rape could stand to undermine in people's minds the definition of rape. As an author, you have the responsibility to portray scenes as accurately as possible and I guess I find it irresponsible for you to say that what occurred wasn't rape. Rape can and has been defined as the intentional violation of a person when such violation is clearly against their wishes.

I'm sure you are headed somewhere with this story and the infidelity that did occur, and I am glad to see that they are able to work through things as a couple. Communication is such a big part of relationships and without it, there isn't really much at all. I'm glad that Bella is slowly maturing and trying to find out who she is as a person, separate of her husband, but I really want to scream at her sometimes to realize that her husband was violated. Tanya violated the trust that Edward had in her when she did prey on him and have sex with him while he was drunk and clearly stated that what she was doing was not what he wanted. Maybe that Intro Psych class Bella is taking will help her to realize that.

As a former Psych major and and a person who has a degree in Psychology (in case you aren't in college or have never taken an intro psych course - I haven't read your profile so I really have no idea), intro classes are very broad classes that look to cover small snippets of a variety of fields in Psychology. Many teachers use this time to focus on Freud excessively, but it would be nice to hear an intro class that talks about sleep disorders, Erickson, Watson, Jung, Pavlov, it would be great to read a story where they talk about psychological studies such as: The Lucky Number 7, the Stanford Prison Study and other studies on conformity, or even some of the more modern trends in Psychology like focusing on the differences in gender or the changes that are being made to the DSM...so yeah, i'm going to stop my rambling now. 

Great story, and I am going to go read the last few chapters before I have to leave for my organic lab!

Thank you for reading and for all of your comments. In regards to your comments where rape is concerned, the feeling of the "injured party" makes a huge difference. Edward feels like he consented after some persuasion and he definitely consented in the bathroom. That, by definition, precludes rape. Did she take advantage of a bad situation, sure, but he gave in and allowed it to happen. His feelings on the subject are of utmost importance and he recognizes that he was in the wrong. (Keep in mind that Edward did actually want to have sex, just maybe not with her. She was just as much a willing body to him as he was to her.)

I won't be exploring much of her schooling, other than to say that she is going. My own Psych courses in college were so broad and so long ago, that it would be difficult and unwieldy to work it in. Thank you for the ideas though. 

 

 

 

 

Wow talk about progress and they both got some lovin' !!!!  Great chapter. I think its great how everything is starting to come together for them. I have no doubt that there will be set backs, I love seeing the trust and the fears being played out!  Good job and I can't wait until next week!
