A part of me was surprised that Bella confessed how she felt and then they 'did it' after what happened with Tanya.  But after I gave it more thought, I realized that it actually makes sense.  They are both so vunerable and raw emotionally - there was no pretenses just true feelings and they gave into them.

I really want to know what is going on with James and what he really wants.  I hope we get more more clues/info soon.

Bella has never before had sex with another person which most people will agree is the definition of a virgin. She has experienced pleasure with her vibrator. Thank you!

First of all you did a great job with their first time. Hot, sexy and unbearably sweet...just as it should have been. Perfect blend of the love and the lust.

I just wanted to share another thought with you.  I think that it's time for Edward to stop being emotionally castigated for his mistakes. I couldn't figure out why I thought that cause when there's cheating involved in a story I'm usually all for the punishment. Why do I think Edward deserves a break? Because Bella was 15 when they married. FIFTEEN. If he had approached her sexually from the start it would have been nothing short of molestation. It was an unnatural situation and when you look at it from real life persepective it's actually pretty amazing that Edward never had more than these brief Tanya encounters and that he felt such tremendous guilt over them. He messed things up, for sure, but he was set up for failure from the get go. It's like the universe was saying "Here, Edward..lets give you this beautiful young woman that you could totally love and totally have the hots for but really can't touch cause she's still a child. Oh and to top it off, take and suppress all of your natural sexual needs and wants indefinitely because you're married to said 15 year old and who knows when or if you're going to be able to have a sexual realtionship with her. Have a nice life." Is cheating okay? No. But forcing a 15 year old child into a sexual relatioship she wasn't ready for would not have been okay either. They both need to realize that although Bella was wronged, Edward was wronged too in a way. I think both Edward and Bella need to see that so that Edward can forgive himself as they forge ahead.

Thank you so much! Things between Bella and Edward will start to normalize now. He's always going to regret removing himself from Bella's life, which is, in my eyes, the worst of his mistakes. He shouldn't have had relations with her at fifteen, but he could have made her feel wanted and cared for. There had to be a middle ground and I think that's what he's learned in time. They can't get that time back, but they can move on.

Bella is straight up correct - Whatever her reasons, Tanya is total BITCH and there has to be something more motivating Windemere to take things to such extremes to just to split up Bella and Edward!  That's especially apparent after the police found Alex beat up so badly, I'm surprised he's still alive frankly.  I'm thinking being capable of murder is not an issue with Windemere.  That 1st time making love between Bella and Edward was so sweet, but I'm so scared for them and the rest of the Cullens because the Tanya/Windemere sitation is so insane!

They finally consumated!!!! Jesus, these two were killing me. I think it was perfect even if it came a really shitty time with the whole Tanya garbage. Now, Bella's sex floodgates are opened right? lol And Edward can sail his dingy (lol) on them :) That was really bad...I'm sorry. I'm ashamed lol Can't wait for more!

Thanks, Chick. I, um, loved the analogies. They made me chuckle. 

While Bella realizes that Edward's pain during the "Tanya confession" was not due to any residual feelings he had for Tanya, she never seems to reconcile this thought in her mind,: "But he’d battled for her. After all she’d done, he was standing up for her and letting her walk away from all of this. " If Edward was so broken up over the pain this hateful, selfish woman caused his wife, why the leniency? Why the leniency from the Cullen family as a whole toward Tanya? If Bella means that much to them, I think that should trump this "best friends" thing they've been cherishing for years. Afterall, it does appear that the apple (Tanya) didn't fall far from the tree (her mother). How can Esme stand either one of them? Bella aside, after the way Tanya used and abused their son (Edward), why don't they allow her to truly pay for her greed and pride? Carlisle's last statement seems to imply that they want Tanya to testify against James. Can't they get her to agree to that with SOME more stringent punishment? So, she can't work again. Does she really need to work? Won't she just find herself a sugar daddy? Can they trust her to tell the truth on the stand and not clam up? If James got to Alex, won't he get to Tanya? So, she goes into Witness Protection and shacks up with a hot FBI agent. Some punishment. I'm really disappointed in all the Cullens. They seem to let Bella down again and again.

I'm sad that Edward and Bella's first time was under the umbrella of desperation and sadness. They waited so long for it to be "right," and it just felt like there are still these unanswered issues and questions not only between the two of them, but also within the Cullen family. Physical intimacy just complicates things and this situation is already plenty screwed up and complicated.

There are a few people that saw it that way. I saw it more as their love trumped it all and they were able to find each other in spite of everyone else. Life is never easy and if they waited until all the rest fell away, it could be a long time before it happened. 

I'm not sure what you mean about Tanya not falling far from the tree with Carmen. Can you PM and explain?

The leniency in the plea is the only way that Carlisle can guarantee her testimony. If she freezes up or lies on the stand, her plea is revoked and she goes to prison. Edward didn't agree to it, but if it's the only way to get James behind bars and keep Bella safe, he'll go along with it. She's more important to him than Tanya's punishment.
