Okay, now I know this is fiction, but I'm kind of curious about the age thing since you've set this in the current human world. I've been practicing law a long time and know for a fact that only a handful of states even allow fifteen year olds to get married and even then those states require parental consent and a written Order by a judge accompanied by proof of pregnancy. Most states don't allow girls under the age of sixteen to be married even with parental consent unless they are pregnant.  So my questions are, why was Edward not creeped out at the prospect of marrying a pubescent girl at the age of 23 and why would the Cullens even agree to an arranged marriage that would be so scandalous and could have negative consequences on their business? I know I would have a hard time doing business with a man who married a fifteen year old child or with someone who pimped out their child to an adult man. If a 23 year old Edward were sleeping with a 15 year old Bella and they were not married, Edward would be a registered sex offender.

Anyway, I was just hoping that you would address those concerns (even if it isn't for quite a few chapters). I'm kind of squicked out right now.

What Happens in Vegas is definitely one of my all time favorites and I have no doubt that this latest venture of yours will be of the same high caliber of quality and entertainment! I can't wait to read on!

Author's Response:

The idea was supposed to be squicky, which is why Edward shied away from her. He did not know her age until the reception. She was two months away from her sixteenth birthday, so I took a bit of creative license that this could be one of those states that allows it with parental consent, which she had.

Thank you so much! I am glad to have such knowledgeable readers and reviewers to keep me on my toes.

I cannot find it in myself to forgive him.  So he had needs, jack off! He had no respect for his vows, so why bother making them?  By the way, how old is Edward? I have no sympathy for him at all.  So what he was horny around her, didn't give him the right to be indifferent or cheat.  I would divorce his ass.

Author's Response:

He definitely made a lot of mistakes and he has a lot to make up for. Edward is now 25 years old.

Thank you for reading and reviewing! I hope you stay around to see the resolution!

things are not going well for our lovebirds! Poor Bella - she recieved so much heavy news over the past few day .... I wouldn't blame her for running again!

Author's Response:

I has definitely been a tough few days for her and she has a lot to work out. Thank you!

Well now I'm dying to see what Tanya has to say. When was the last time her and Edward were together? I can't remember if that was already said. Anyways, excellent job. ;)

Author's Response:

It has not been said. You will find that out when Bella does in chapter 5. All of the answers will come out, but it happens slowly. I wrote two beginnings to this story, though, and sometimes I forget to add back in the stuff that got taken out. So, if you have questions, PM me or ask over in the forum!

Thank you!

Hey, I love your story,

but the Moonlight Sonata is by Beethoven, not by Bach.

Author's Response:

LOL! Thank you for catching that! I'm going to blame my iTunes, but really it might have just been a typo!

OH GODDDDD!!!! This is too much angst! Someone needs to do SOMETHING! I don't care what but, just something!!!!!

Okay, thats not true, I want Bella to give him the verbal lashing of his life and make him beg. She definitely has leverage for, oh say, the rest of their lifes! Can she smack him around a little bit? He's not marble here, she can do it.

I wish you had elaborated more on his reaction of the collage, surely it had a greater effect on him?

BTW, I'm sure she looks hot with her new haircut, Eddiekins is in for a surprise.

Update SOON!!!!!!!!

Author's Response:

The beginning of this story is very angsty and it doesn't go away for a bit. As for the collage, the point really was that there wasn't much to have a reaction to. Perhaps I can have him comment on it in a later chapter. That's a great suggestion.

Thank you and look for the update next Wednesday-ish.

Never fear--Tanya will NOT be there when Bella gets home. Thank you for reading and reviewing! I love hearing from everyone.

Thanks for updating it. I'm really liking the story. I do agree with the others though, I'm quite curious why their relationship lead to an arranged marriage.

I also hope you'll make Edward suffer some more. I don't really want Edward to get Bella back that easily. I'n not sounding like a sadist, right? I just want Edward to work hard to get Bella back!

I just want to ask if you're going to be updating this story weekly regularly?? Thanks!!!!

Author's Response:

I plan to update weekly, so I don't keep you all waiting too long. Right now, I have a month's worth of chapters, but writing goes faster at times than others.

Half of the arrangement question will be answered in chapter 4. And Edward should have to work hard. He doesn't deserve a free pass!

Thanks!

Interesting storyline but I think more detail about the history of arranged marriages in the context of this story is needed. Like did the other couples have arranged marriages too and why was getting an arranged marriage at 15 and 23 the best thing for them? Is this a cultural or religious practice? etc. I know it's still early in the story but there are just some things I'm thinking about.

Edward is a complete dick for cheating on Bella and leading Tanya on. It's no wonder that Tanya has all these crazy ideas in head after he used her like that. I know she's a bitch but her motivations don't concern me since she wasn't the one cheating on a spouse. Why didn't he just buy a fleshlight and some lube if he was that horny? I hope Bella doesn't forgive him. I like reading stories where Edward cheats because I want to see if an author can change my mind when it comes to Bella taking Edward back. I'm usually very black or white when it comes to cheating so I wonder if you can change my mind. As of right now I just want to do permanent damage to his junk.

If they were married for two years why don't they know more about each other? Why did he avoid/ignore her? Was he planning to take her virginity on that birthday trip? Did he ever plan to tell her about the affair before taking her virginity or was he just going to sweep it under the rug? Why did no one notice the distance between Edward and Bella and that they have separate bedrooms? It looks like Edward is trying to place blame on anyone but himself. He yelled at Rose and now he's after Tanya and yes Tanya may have planned to seduce Edward but he allowed it to happen and Bella had every right to know her husband cheated. If he wasn't going to tell her I'm glad she found out another way.

Author's Response:

A lot of your questions will be answered, starting in the next chapter, and, since this can be widely seen, I don't want to reveal too much. Dropping the answers in the middle of the crisis would have been forced, so they have to come out slowly.

Cheating is a very difficult topic for many, myself included, and I hope that I handle it in a way that works. Thank you for reading and reviewing. Pop over to the thread on the forum for teasers and maybe some early previews of answers.

So glad you've posted your story on here too!  I had a hard time getting to FanFiction and I was dying to read this chapter!

Author's Response:

I'm glad you found it, then! Thanks!

Reviewer: hc4metal (Signed) · Date: September 29, 2010 08:56 PM · On: Chapter 3: Perspective

I really don't understand why anyone would be with a person who cheated. Have some self respect. Those type of people never change. Wandering dick syndrome is not curable.

Author's Response:

Everyone is definitely entitled to their own opinion, but I actually have to disagree with you there. Many of them do stray again, but there are some that don't. Crappy situations bring about crappy mistakes in people that they can regret for the rest of their lives. It doesn't make it right or okay, but forgiveness is possible (really difficult to earn, but possible).

There is a lot of this story left to uncover and I hope to make it believable for you! Thanks!

wow poor bella and i feel semi bad for ed too actually.

Author's Response:

They have both been thrust into a bad situation and now they have to deal with the aftermath. I feel a little bit for both of them too.

Thanks for reading!

Good for Bella! Love the kids moments with both of them.

Author's Response:

Thank you! I thought it was important for both of them to see the bigger picture.

He's lying to himself too.  He obviously did have an affair whether it was the entire marriage or a weekend, he better man up or she should kick his ass to the curb.  Nice update.

Author's Response:

A lot more of this will come out when he actually talks to Bella and explains his thoughts on the matter. I'm not saying it was right and neither is he, but he should at least get his say. So says Bella's rational side, anyway.

Thanks for reading and reviewing!

Hmmm interesting situation marriage wise. Bella at 15, Edward at 23 getting married. I strongly suspect that since Edward didn't know that Bella was 15 untill just before they got married must have been a bit of a shock to him. Perhaps in his mind not touching her while she was so young felt like the right thing to do. I have a suspecion that he has been waiting for her to turn 18 before he felt it was right to touch her, but his stupidty in not paying enough attention to her and trying to really get to know her has caused her to feel ignored. Not a wise move on his part even though keeping his distance may have been his way of avoiding temption in taking her while she was so young. His ultimate stupity was of course was him dipping his wick with someone else. Though I suspect that it may only have occurred once or twice before or very early on in the marriage. There is no doubt in may mind that Tanya has fully intended to distroy this marriage any way she can, even if it means blowing the truth out of proportion and exagerate what had happened between Edward and herself. I suspect she knew full well that Bella was in that room and said all that on purpose. Great story by the way!

Author's Response:

Thank you! You have captured Edward's motivations perfectly! And, possibly Tanya's. Stay tuned for more!

He's a dog she should make him suffer. How old is he? And who gets marrried at 15?

Author's Response: Edward is 25 now. Bella got married at 15 because that is when it was arranged. More details on that will be forthcoming. Thanks!
