Hmmm interesting chapter so she knows but won't let herself believe it. Was Billy the wolf who save her? And how will it finally affect her when she finds out that E is a vampire and a vampire killed her father, not the same one mind you but still.....

This chapter took a while, but it was worthy, since it's such a long one, and we get to understand Bella a little bit better. Besides, I think after this chapter she will be ready to start getting to know Edward right?!

I like the leap Bella took here. In facing her past, she put perspective on the future and came up with a theory, while ridiculous, she can't dismiss. I can't wait to see what happens when she meets Edward again!

Ok so I've been very bad at reviewing I added this story right after your last update and only recently got around to reviewing it, but I'm all caught up now. I like how the Seneca legend was real but still hinted at vampires, it shows how universal the idea is and yet it wasn't as in your face. It leaves us readers going how aren't you seeing this while allowing the character to still be oblivious. I'm wondering how Bella is gonna take it when she finds out what he is, he didn't kill her dad but will she be able to distinguish between the monster who did and the one before her? if he's been wearing the contacts then he must have killed a human for his eyes to be red, but all of the victims belong to the serial killer, who I'm guessing is James or possibly Victoria. But what happened to Edwards victim clearly he's more careful but how long ago was his last hunt?

Ooh, this is epic! I am so excited that Bella is starting to catch on a bit. And the part about her watching Charlie get killed by a vampire, and then getting saved by a wareworlf is such a wonderful (but sad) part of the puzzle. I can't wait for more.

So my guess is James is after Bella to finish what was started on that boat--he's the serial killer. I wonder if Bella will confront Edward and tell him what happen and she will have figured out what he is by then and then confront him on it. I wonder how Edward will react too if she tells him what happened to her dad. I wonder if he will be the one to put it together James is the serial killer. This is just a theory.

So glad that you updated: this story gets better and better. Only, forgive me, there is a sentence I could not male sense of:

Maybe the vampire had only fed on the ‘leftovers’ and hadn’t necessarily killed the victim.

Sorry for any confusion. And I'm sorry if this is gross, lol. I meant to convey Edward entertaining the idea of the rogue vampire stumbling upon an already dead victim. That the rogue hadn't killed the victim, just... fed upon them.

Thank you for updating I've been checking impatiently for another chapter, of course if an author doesn't update every week I get impatient. ;)

I absolutely love this story, Bella is both tough and vulnerable, usually the tough part in fanfiction is out of character but you've done a wonderful job of making Bella's history traumatic enough to have caused the changes in her personality and yet Bella is still Bella. I also adore your Edward.
