So excited to get to read this.  It is a great story.  Your writing is just so wonderful.   This would make a great full story.  Such an interesting take on Edward's early days, and I really like the Bella is this one.  Amazing job.

Author's Response:

Thanks, pirate51!  Long time, no talk!  I actually wrote this in the middle of LOC, and it was really kind of a challenge for myself to write Edward's POV - particularly as a vamp.  So it was fun.  I have to give my Bellas a little spine.  Canon Bella is just too much of a noodle to me.  But thanks so much for reading and reviewing.  I'm working on a multi-chapter called Piano Lessons right now.  I'll hopefully get it posted on FFn in the next month or so.  I want to have it finished before I post it, since life has been too crazy to write as much as I'd like.  You know how I am about regular and frequent posting!  I'd hate to start posting and then have weeks go by between chapters!

Great hearing from you and thanks for the feedback!  I'm so glad you enjoyed it.

Oh no! I missed the deadline to vote. Sorry about that!

OK, so I have been reading The Hunger Games and I had a bit to catch up on FF. When I saw this update here I thought you were continuing it :). I hope you do I really like the way you developed the characters here and there is a lot of story that you can tell. I love this time in history there is something so weirdly romantic about gangsters :). I figured I already left you a review on FF but I wanted to say something here too. Now I am off to vote.

Author's Response:

Thanks, Catalina!  It took a really long time to get validated, so it went up after the deadline.  But thanks for trying.  I don't know if I'll continue this one - I don't think so.  I'm playing with Piano Lessons now... probably post it in a month or so!  But thank you for reviewing again and readding again!

How have you been!  I can't believe the summer is over.  Very very sad!  Thanks for getting your sister to read LOC.

Ugh - Hunger Games.  I LOVE that series.  I pre-ordered Mockingjay so I'd have it the minute it was out on my Kindle.  I devoured it in two days.  My daughter hasn't even read it yet and I'm done.  Loved it.  Let me know what you think of it - you can PM me if you want to.  I'd love to talk about that story.  I may reread the first one someday, but lately I'm addicted to the In Death books (Nora Roberts as JD Robb).  They are officially Kindle crack to me!  hahaha!

Author's Response:

I'm sorry... I think the system ate your review.  But I really appreciate you reading D&I.  I really enjoyed the challenge of writing Vamp Edward's POV, particularly dealing with his mindset while he was sick and right after the change.  THanks very much for reading!  I appreciate it!

don't be so surprised...it's a damn fine story...thank you for writing it!! >:)

Author's Response:

Thanks, Michelle!  I'm glad you liked it.  Writing it... well, I sort of have to do that to get these ideas and characters out of my head, but having people read it is the most amazing thing.  Thanks so much for taking the time!

It was fun exploring Vamp Edward - definitely a challenge for me.  I saw in your profile that you're thinking about writing.  I hope you give it a try!  Good luck!  The feedback is an amazing thing, and I thank you for giving it.

I really really liked it! Very good indeed!

Author's Response:

Thanks, Venus!  I really enjoyed exploring Vamp Edward's POV - not the easiest thing to write for me, so it was a real challenge.  Perhaps because I'm not a guy, not a vampire, and not born and raised in the early 1900's!  Hahaha!  But the hard part was actually capturing his self-loathing and how he came to terms with it.  I always wondered what would have happened if Edward wasn't really able to forgive Carlisle for changing him, so I explored that with this story.

Thanks so much for reading and reviewing.  I really appreciate the feedback!

Great one shot, thanks for sharing it with us!

Author's Response:

Thanks, Joni!  Sharing is the easy part... thanks for reading!  I wrote this story a while ago but had to wait until my multi-chapter was finished posting before I could submit it.  I really enjoyed writing this one - Vamp Edward's POV was really challenging for me.  I really appreciate that you took the time to drop me a note, too!  Reviews are the greatest gift and I think you.

a real beauty, this one. :)

Author's Response:

Thanks so much, and thanks for reading!  I had a lot of fun writing this story.  I'd never written Vamp Edward's POV, and getting in his head and really exploring his self-loathing was an interesting and challenging experience.  I like to explore what the world would be like if a character zigs instead of zags, so it was my little exploration of what would happen if Edward couldn't forgive Carlisle for changing him.

I really appreciate that you read this, and more importantly, that you reviewed.  Thanks for the feedback!
