Great chapter. They are really sweet together. I do hope Esme is okay. A different twist would be if Esme and Jacob became mated, just a thought.

The only thing that concerns me about this chapter is that Edward doesn't seem to be in any physical pain as far as the severed arm is concerned. We know that at least in cannon he's capable of feeling pain, so did you change it here, or is he just really, really stoic?
Other than that the chapter was brilliant as usual.
Author's Response: Well, I remember that somewhere they say that venom is the only thing that really causes pain, so I went with more of a feeling of absense or missing-ness with the arm. Plus it will come in handy next chapter. :)

Well hot damn! That chapter had me firing up the cold shower...Bella is definalty having Edward make up for lost time...damn that girl was working her magic. I am not surprised that it would effect Jasper and that him and Alice would be getting it on. Kate is a brave girl for toughing it out in the Cullen place tonight...lol
Whohoo...maybe now Edward won't be so uptight. I do believe he is definatly experiencing a wave of bliss...good for him.

LOL...I love the Dan Brown reference...I recognized it right away. I know I am a hopeless readaholic but I love mystery and history. The fight was pretty epic and I sure hope they find Esme soon. I would hate for her to face the wolves alone. Not to mention I will cry if she is lost. I know she is missing Carlisle but I am a selfish reader and want her to live...however I will aquise to my writers will...reader excitedly runs to next chapter...

This chapter was so sad. I hate that Carlisle was killed. He was always the most compassionate. I certainly understand Edwards regret. If they had fought, would Carlisle still be alive? The, what If's, of life are always hard to take.

I agree with Bella, Edward is the perfect man. Loved this chapter, so pleased Edward got some loving without it coming from himself and I'm liking Bella's moves, going for it while he is incapacitated with his arm. Loved the line when Edward was thinking about pleading with her to stop and 'harder' was what he said, fab writing.

My hub is a Monty Python fan, he thought it was very funny to put the song ( Always look on the bright side of life) on top of the wedding music on the DVD as i'm walking down the asle. O.O.

Another very good chapter and the hot pepper thing, it's as viable of an idea as any other. The Esme/Jake thing has me concerned for Esme, but in the end, her mate is dead and emotion like that gives you power, but it can also make you reckless. I don't think that her death would be handled well.
