Exciting stuff! Loved the action sequence. I can't believe Jake attacked Edward during that stand off... (well, a prelude to total annihilation) He really must have no clue that they were protecting Bella.

Good chapter. Not surprised he turned her down. But I am surprised he's going to get some advice. Emmett'll be blunt & fun! Time apart... sounds good but I just get the feeling vamps or wolves are going to turn up when he's gone.

Good chapter. It really is horrible there's no Carlisle. No wonder Edward's perceived guilt drove him to a self imposed exile. How on earth has Esme managed to struggle on for all these years. I get the feeling she still has the potential to lash out at the wolves.

It's refreshing not to see a Bella jump happily into Edward's arms... to be so suspicious. And it's always enjoyable to see him getting a hard time. Realistically, she's been given no choice in the matter and they haven't earned her trust. Whereas Jake has always been there for her. Will Jake track her down? Enlist help? I'm so enjoying this plot line.

Oh no. Was it Carlisle they killed? Or Esme? If it had been Emmett, I doubt anything would be able to stop Rosalie taking revenge. My bet's Carlisle, that he would refuse to fight or defend himself properly. But good for Bella, joining the dots so quickly!

Oh wow! I am so hooked with this! Just desperate to know more about Edward's past. I love the interaction between E & B. I'm so excited Alice & Jasper are now on the scene and at initial introductions too! I wonder what Alice's vision had been to have led him on such a merry dance.
