I am definitely Team Edward, so I was a little upset, because, of course, I did not know how the night ended. Still, I don't hate Jacob, provided he does not get Bella. And I don't want Edward to kill him. I think that one of the most moving moments in the Saga was when Edward calls Jacob "my brother, my son" (I am one  of those who LOVED Breaking Dawn). I have even written a story about that.

Author's Response:

I loved BD, too.  I thought it was great how everything fell together at the end.  And I like Nessie...too bad she doesn't exist in this story, but I'm using her in another fic I'm working on.

I wont stop reading I never liked jacob.  So kill him any painful way you can think of.  Dont have any bad names for a dog though. love the story

What about mongrel? Glad Edward is getting his head out of his ass and going to get his girl.

Enjoying the story so far. And since you asked - Derogatory words for dogs? Pup, mutt, cur, mongrel, etc. Derogatory adjectives for dogs? Yapping, housebroken (or worse - not housebroken), foaming-at-the-mouth, piddling (again with the not housebroken), whiny, whipped (as in puppy), lame, toothless, mad, mangy, vermin-infested, dumb (as in mutt), clumsy, wild, uncontrolled, rabid, etc.

I feel sorry for Jacob, I don't hate him! Don't blame him for taking a shot at her (romantically speaking) either! But Edward is one possessive, angry vamp! This story keeps getting more and more interesting!

Author's Response:

Yeah, I feel bad for Jacob too, especially since I'm going to be really mean to him in this story.  Thanks!

This is one of the best stories I have read in a very long time.  It's one of my absolute favs right now.  Please don't let reader reaction get you off your vision.  I think you are a great writer and I look forward to more and more.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much!  You're so nice.

Reviewer: muldergirl (Signed) · Date: November 02, 2010 07:01 PM · On: Chapter 11

Nah, I'd never stop reading. Although I DO hate Jacob. LOL...I know I'm not the only one. Please, don't tell us Edward witnesses their kiss. But if he does, at least he sees Bella push him away, right?? Dear Lord, if he leaves during I will die.Not really, but, you know. I cannot WAIT for E/B to meet again.

You write EPOV so well; it's very difficult to get into his head because he is a mixture of aloofness and vulnerability, and throw immortal into the mix, and you have a recipe for coming off to dramatic. The reader can really feel Edward's pain and confusion; wanting something he fears he cannot have, the push/pull of winning her heart and resisting her blood. Oh, you do that great. Well done!!!!

I'll be holding my breath until the update; I was soo happy when it popped into my inbox. Yay! You made my night. Well, morning now, since it's midnight. Sweet dreams

Author's Response:

Thank you!  I find it really difficult to write Edward because I'm always having to take into account his mind reading and super hearing - what kinds of things can I sneak past him? :)

Reviewer: kng1986 (Signed) · Date: November 02, 2010 06:54 PM · On: Chapter 11

He would fight for her, that's what he'd do.  And God help anyone, human, vampire, or otherwise, who tried to oppose him.  And just think it only took the stench of that mangy cur to get Edward all riled up over Bella.

You redeemed yourself when Bella sent Jake away without any love.  I always thought Jake was an interesting character but I hate him kissing Bella.

Reviewer: Arizona Hale (Signed) · Date: November 02, 2010 06:51 PM · On: Chapter 11

Well, to be honest, I was really, really upset by the last chapter...and not so much because it's Jacob. I think Jacob gets a raw deal a lot of the time; he's not a bad guy...just not who we want for Bella.

No, the reason I think some people were upset by the last chapter is that the love triangle thing is so overdone in fanfic. Your story is so innovative and original that it was a little disappointing to see you take the easy route with pre-packaged plot. We're all tired of watching Bella make stupid, selfish decisions. If she were as selfless as SM claims, she never would have strung Jacob along the way she did just because he makes her feel better. I'm so glad that she realized this immediately in your fic.

As I said, I really, really love this story of yours. I fell in love with it right away. It has the potential for something totally new and virtually unseen in fanfic, ie: Cullens vs. the Pack, and even if I love some of the wolves, I love originality more. I'm terrible sorry we won't be seeing Carlisle, but I'm so excited to see what you're going to do, barring the whole ExBxJ conflict.

Good luck with your disgruntled readers! ;)

Author's Response:

LoL - thanks.  It seems like most of them have put down their weapons for the time being. :)

Reviewer: amydee (Signed) · Date: November 02, 2010 06:48 PM · On: Chapter 11

::Raises hand::  Yeah, sorry girl but I am one of the ones who REALLY hates Jacob.  Too much of him in any capacity and I have been known to bail.  But I'm sure that a lot of readers love him and love love triangles, though.  You'll do fine, no worries.

I do love your writing and the rest of what you have going on here, though.  Just ah...I can't deal with much more Jacob.  So if I quit this one I will hope for something else from you without that revolting, POS mutt in it.

Anyway... I like to use "Jakehole" a lot.  "Dogbreath" is also good.  "Scrappy-do", "Fleabag", "Ball-licker", "Drooler"....any that you like yet?  LOL

I loved having a peek inside Edward's mind in this chapter.  Even though it hurt me to think about him and the family dealing with the same beings that killed poor Carlise and what Esme will have to deal with when she finds out they are around, you do Edward's inner voice very well!  I like how you balance his loving feelings for Bella with his need for Bella [both as a mate and the call of her blood].  Well done!

We don't hate Jacob...he can live but not with Bella.

Reviewer: sareliz (Signed) · Date: November 02, 2010 06:41 PM · On: Chapter 11

It's all good, we'll keep reading. Eeeek. I do hate that they killed Carlisle, however.  But so it goes - even in canon those earlier negotiations could have gone either way, and if they were going to kill someone, it would have been Carlisle.  A choice that would have been logical on their end would have been the worst irony on the vampire end, given his peaceful demeanor - Edward would have been the logical choice from the vampire side of it; the only one who kept a strict & normal vampire diet for any length of time was Edward.

Anyway, I can't think of any derogatory terms for a male dog. You could dress it up, however.  I can imagine Edward calling him a f*cking hound, or a g*ddamn terrier or something.  I can imagine Emmett calling him on his lack of synonyms. There's always dogboy, because if you can't insult the doggy part of him, you can at least insult his masculinity (otherwise not in question).

Anyway, lovely job. Keep up the good work!

A+++++

Feel free to kill Jake off

Reviewer: Dryad (Signed) · Date: November 02, 2010 06:12 PM · On: Chapter 11

mutt? stray? think you used mongrel, hound, fleabag, in my house- the 4 legged vaccuums...

And it still drives me mad that you killed Carlisle off.

And been in bella's position...not much worse than hurting a friend because they care more for you than you do for them...curious to see what happens next with the rest of the pack...

Oh nos! Edward's going to be there, and he's going to catch them! This cannot be happening. *pouts*

Fantastic chapter! Update soon!! :)

Your dialogue is incredible! Crisp and true!

Reviewer: Bart (Signed) · Date: October 28, 2010 04:30 PM · On: Chapter 9

It breaks my heart, but I realize that your tale has taken a sad twist. Yet, I appreciate your insight into how Edward would have handled such a loss.  As chapters unfold, I bet he is blaming himself for not "hearing" the thoughts of the wolves quicklyt enough. Powerful story line!

Reviewer: Bellina (Signed) · Date: October 28, 2010 06:19 AM · On: Chapter 10

Just found this and the title cought my eye.  Love it so far even though im a little bit sad about Carisle.  Tear.

Reviewer: TeriAnn (Signed) · Date: October 28, 2010 05:33 AM · On: Chapter 10

I'm not sure Bella would have responded to Jake's advances had she not have been drinking.  I'm not saying Jake's not a nice guy because he seems to be, so far, and he has been drinking too. (i've never been a Jake hater)  but I can't see Bella being able to resist Edward, who could!!  Interested to see how their next meeting goes now that Bella suspects what he is.  Thought Rosalie was really nice in trying to talk Edward round.

Author's Response:

Never, never, mix alcohol and werewolves.  Just sayin.

Reviewer: TeriAnn (Signed) · Date: October 28, 2010 04:17 AM · On: Chapter 9

I must admit I thought it was Esme who had been killed.  Now knowing it was Carlisle it brings a whole new meaning to the letters that Edward was writing to him.

The whole back story does come together in this chapter and I think its a very original idea.

Reviewer: TeriAnn (Signed) · Date: October 28, 2010 03:27 AM · On: Chapter 8

So there was a big fight 70 years ago and somone got killed, obviously one of the Cullens!!! and now Bella may have guessed what Edward is... got to read on, great writing.

Reviewer: TeriAnn (Signed) · Date: October 28, 2010 02:30 AM · On: Chapter 6

Great chapter... loved the impassioned moment on the stairs, just beautifully written.

Thought Jacob's ring tone on Bella's phone, very fitting.

Good to see Alice and Jasper arrival (well i'm guessing its them from their description) and looking forward to seeing their part in the story.

Reviewer: TeriAnn (Signed) · Date: October 28, 2010 12:39 AM · On: Chapter 4

Wondering what the relationship between Bella and Jake is, best friends or maybe more.  Interesting that Jake could pick up the scent of Edward on Bella.

Loved the meeting in the shop. Thought it was very sensuous, the way his hands moved just over the top of her and then played with her hair.

Really looking forward to carrying.
