Edward shared their sad past, it had to be hard for Esme to hear him tell her, but it was also necessary. Especially with what Bella knows and figured out during the conversation. Edward blames himself, should he? I don't think so, but easier said than done of course.
With this knowledge, how will things go now? And how will they tell Esme about Bella's close relationship with the wolves? Won't be easy I guess.

I loved this chapter. Edward is being a little bit more openly forward with Bella. I seriously wanted to melt when he asked if he could lay next to her. Gah! So freakin' sweet. Things are progressing nicely. She seems to be slowly warming back up to him. I can't wait to read more.

I have a heated mattress pad too and I love it, especially in the winter.

i hate that Carlile is gone and that he is still blaming himself after all these years.....and I have a heated matress pad omg one of the 8 wonders of the world ...no icy vampire but an Edward with icy cold feet lol....
