I love the Dogman epithet. I read a story, once, where the Dogmen were a group of Native Americans (it was a fantasy/apocalyptic kind of story? I think?) and so this is even more amusing.
I really am enjoying this very unique AU you've got here. Absolutely.

Oh! How I wish I was the one Edward puts to bed. Bella is a lucky girl, even if her conversation and feelings are too well captured by the rest of the family. She was shy at first, but later, when occupied, I guess she didn't care much.
Poor Esme, all of this is being really tough on her, and she doesn't know the rest of the story yet. Lets hope that Bella's presence will help her through it.

So, Bella's drunk off her can, she's making out w/Jake and that'll be when Edward shows up, right? (I'm in a non-internet access point just now so will send this when I get it back, lol, and then I'll read and find out how wrong I am THIS time.)
Judging by the chatter I've been hearing about this story, I am guessing Bella doesn't succumb too far to the whole Jacob mystique, even though he is, apparently, a nice guy. I like that he is showing his shapeshifter tendencies at the moment with the stealth and all. Very cool.
