As happy as I am to for this story to be back on the two-week posting schedule, I'm horrified now that I have to wait two weeks for the next chapter after that ending. I can't wait to see how Bella reacts to that statement. And to make sure that Edward is coming back. He's not going to try to pull a NM move on us, is he? Oh, I really, really hope not. Of course though, he would probably react worse than Jasper did to hearing Bella's statement that she didn't want any of them to feel guilty for killing her.

I thought the beginning about the permission slips and notices from school was really cute....and how Carlisle could tell who each slip belonged to by the presentation or smell of it. It was also really cute that Bella has such a good grasp on the Civil War, lol. Can't blame Esme for smirking there.

I am extremely curious though about what exactly is going on in
Bella's head. For some reason I have this nagging feeling that the changes in her since Christmas are related to more than just the visit from Laurent. That there is something more going on with her. I may be entirely wrong here, but I can't get rid of that feeling.

I loved, loved, loved the meeting with Mr. Banner and his comments about Edward and Bella.

And the meeting with Coach Clapp and Carlisle's interjections there were also quite funny.

Then there was the whole period issue, which was horrible....more for the effect it had on Jasper and Edward than for the effect upon Bella. I do think it says a lot about her and how far she's come with seeing the Cullens as her family that she was more concerned about Jasper than about herself. I know that it probably had to be even worse for Edward too than for Jasper since he would have seen Alice's vision of it being him that bit Bella. I do hope he comes back and apologizes to Bella so she can be irrational about her safety with him, lol. It think it would be quite interesting.

I can completely empathize with her embarassment. Living with vamps may sound good but there are certain aspects (liking having your period or anything really that requires a toilet) would be horrific. I know plenty of girls that don't even like to have to buy pads or tampons at the store, so Bella's embarassment of having all those living in her household smell everytime she starts is quite understandable.

I do wonder about Edward and Jasper's lapse in control here. Why was this time so much worse for them than any other or was this the first time Bella started and if so then what are they going to do every month? Was it just that they hadn't hunted? Do they usually hunt every day or every other day before she starts?

Also I think Emmett's "TALK" may have been more more entertaining than Rose, but Bella probably would have died of embarassment from it, lol.

But no worries, cause Em still managed to shove that size fourteen foot in his mouth and let the cat out of the bag about Bella's imminent change. Like I said, really interested to see how the rest of that conversation plays out and to see Edward return and him and Jasper get over their guilt!

Despite the cliffy and my two favorite men/vamps having a bad time of it, still LOVED the chapter!

I can say right now that no, Edward isn't pulling a NM.  He just needed a little time.  As for why it affected the two of them so intensely, it was the first time Bella had  period, and they hadn't hunted in a while.  The sudden smell of blood was too much.  They should be better behaved next month.

I think Emmett would have drawn diagrams and given advice and that would have killed Bella off. :)  And yes, that foot did fit quite well into his mouth, didn't it?

This is my first review (ever), although I have been reading this fanfic since the beginning.  I've enjoyed the character development, and the efforts to keep the characters as close to canon as possible while allowing for interesting new developments.  All that being said, I have only one thing to say...

 

WHAT THE HELL!!!!

 

From the beginning everyone knows that this point (the ending of this chapter) would act as the fulcrum of the entire story.  That makes this possible the most evil cliffhanger in the world!!!!  Honestly, I usually have patience with cliffies, but good lord...this one will literally kill me.  I'm glad you'll be up to a more frequent posting schedule, because I NEED the next chapter like a fat kid needs cake.

 

Obviously, I love the story, but please god...think of the children when you write such chapters!!!

Ah, thanks!  I have to say, it drives me NUTS to not keep characters as IC as possible.  Insane, I tell you. ^_~  And yes, it was an evil cliffhanger. I can, and will, be more evil.  Mwhahahaha......

I am equally blown away and completely drawn in.  This is an amazing, beautiful story.  I'm sorry i didn't review at the end of each chapter i've read so far.  I just found this...but I can't stop myself from clicking "Next" and getting to the next part. 

I'm writing a story that deals with Bella recovering from an abusive relationship, too, though it's all human.  It's honestly essentially my own college story of redemption, healing, and love.

There are so many of these out there, and so few really address the PROCESS of healing adequately.  So, I just wanted to let you know that there is nothing about your story that i find lacking.  The love Carlisle and Esme express is perfect, Big Brother Grizzly Emmett is just right, Who doesn't love Alice and Jasper, and...*tsk, tsk* Rosalie.  Too bad she's so bitter.

I'm adding your story to my favorites right this minute, and I'll finish and review more as I go through the week.  But please, know, that I think you're an EXCELLENT writer, and I'll be thinking about the story as I fall asleep tonight.

I nearly jumped for joy when I saw this updated, and the chapter certainly didn't disappoint.  I really enjoyed hearing from Bella's teachers.  And the whole Jasper/Edward/period thing was handled quite well...poor Edward, he would have seen himself being the one to kill her - no wonder the Vanquish is gone, lol.  I wouldn't be surprised if he makes himself stay away for the whole week.

I'm very much looking forward to the Change discussion they now have to have with Bella.  For some reason, I get the impression her reaction is going to surprise them all yet again.  Can't wait to read it!
