I finally put Edward first.
I finally made the right choice.
And I killed Jacob Black.
Good riddance.
Thank gawd, I needed a story like this. She was always making edward suffer jacob's existence in their lives. Im tired of fanfic's keeping him around w/ his smelly ass. Reneseme being imprinted on was just sicckkkk [Hated SM for that. It made the last book almost impossible to read]. You couldn't buy that dude a clue that bella was not in love w/ him. Although, all that hand holding on the beach knowing he would take it the wrong way didn't help her case when she said she was in love w/ edward; talk about mixed signals. JB couldnt get the mother so he went after the daughter under the guise of 'imprinting'. Which is just a fancy word for supernatural pedifiles.

Yay! Finally a Bella that makes the right choices! This is a much better ending than in the books for Jacob! Now, if you think about it, Jacob could have had his happy ending, could have imprinted, and he was only a few months away from it, if only he had stayed sane. Oh well.

I can not tell you how much I loved this! I really wish you would consider continuing the story. I always wanting Bella to put Edward first and was so disappointed when she put everyone in front of him.

Hee hee!! Loved it! I'm a fellow mom who got sucked into the Twilight world for one reason and one reason only: Edward Cullen.
I was saddened that SM actually thought that boy Jacob could be a romantic rival to the man that is Edward. I was not buying what she was trying to sell in Eclipse. It's so nice to come across fellow fans who feel the same way.
I loved how you used one of the most irritating Jacob characteristics (and believe me, it's hard to choose just one) of doing or saying something incredibly stupid or disrespectful and then apologizing as if that makes everything okay. Except your Bella wasn't falling for it. (Unlike Eclipse Bella who Meyer had to completely write OOC so she could "fall in love" with the witless wonder that is Jacob.)
Great job! Again, it's nice to come across fellow avid Team Edward fans, especially since the movies have sparked an alarming number of Jacob followers. No matter how nice they try to make him in the movies, we know the truth.
Author's Response: Death to the dog!!! Yes, I feel exactly the way you do. SM did Bella and Edward both a great disservice when she wrote Eclipse. The whole "I'm guilt-tripping so I'm gonna put up with all kinds of manipulative shit from a teenage boy who thinks he loves me" was ridiculous. Bella never should have given in to the manips the boy put her through and should have kept Edward in the forefront of her mind. Have you read my other story, Resurrection? That was spawned from my disgust with Eclipse, and has Edward leave again, after Bella takes all night to cry over having to give up Jacob. Perhaps that is up your alley.
Thanks for leaving a review...as you can imagine, as a fellow "Team Edward" member, I had a blast writing this oneshot.

Awesome! Except, in wolf form, I don't believe a bullet would be able to penetrate their skin. Remember, they're strength (which would also mean their vulnerability) is on par with a vampire - otherwise they'd never be able to beat one in a fight. So, if Jacob had been in human form - then yes, the shot could have killed him depending on where the bullet went... but in wolf form, no way.
Other than that... exciting tale and great action between Edward and Jacob.
Author's Response: Hey JR!! I don't know that a bullet can't penetrate their skin...it's not like they're vamps... their strength may be on par with a vamp, but not necessarily their skin... I thought about that when we wrote this, CR and I. And a bullet fired from a gun is probably a bit stronger than Bella's hand punching him in the face.

Bella killed Jacob. I don't hate him, but I don't like him so... ah, screw it I LOVE THIS! Every E/B part was perfect, and even if I'm not a Jacob hater, I enjoyed reading this and especially this: 'I finally put Edward first.' I loved it, she never did this in Eclipse so believe me.. I was so happy when I saw she killed Jacob to protect Edward, even if he didn't need protection.
Congratulations! I can see why it was first place :)
Author's Response: It was a cathartic moment for me and CR to kill off the mutt and put the gun in Bella's hand specifically because of all the crap that happened in Eclipse.
