I love the way Edward uses his mind-reading to protect Bella in a subtle way, just as Bella is trying to make acclimating to "the humans" easier for Edward. Now - what will happen at Angela's?

I was worried that the 'night out' chapter wouldn't hold up to readers' expectations, but everyone did seem to like it. I guess I worried over nothing.

And, yeah, Bella really did. I wanted to show that, while she isn't a materialistic person, she's still someone who can appreciate nice things without coveting them.

This is such a nice story. I love it when people put a new spin the introductory phase of Edward and Bella's relationship. That part where she was afraid of the dark was really sweet. I love protective Edward.
