"Good afternoon, Mr. Cullen," a beautiful brunette with ice blue eyes simpered, as she stood from her seat behind a large desk. "I was told you wouldn't be in the office for a few weeks."

Bella quirked an eyebrow at the girl's blatant flirtatiousness. She looked over at Edward and noticed that his posture immediately straightened and his voice took on a cooler tone.

"Gianna," he nodded to the woman. "I'm only stopping by to grab a few things and to show my family around a little bit."
Bella's eyes cut to his face, surprised to have herself included in that statement. He smiled gently at her before leading her and Jack towards the large corner office.

"Family?" Gianna asked, confused. She didn't spare Bella a second glance, but her jaw dropped as soon as she got a good look at Jack. "Oh my God," she whispered and sat down quickly. As soon as Edward's door closed behind them, she picked up her phone and dialed.

"Jane? You are not going to believe who just walked in here!"

Bella keeps saying she is "taking Jack with her."   If I was Edward, and lost my son, only to refind him again, I'd take Bella to court.  I don't think she has a right to sole custody.

Gotta make it quick because the tennis is on...

"Well, I guess we have a movie to watch?" he asked as he stood up and reached for her hand.

Bella glanced at his long fingers before looking up at him shyly from under her lashes. She smiled and placed her hand in his.

Remember last chapter or so when Jack woke up next to her on her bed, but from the teaser some people thought it might have been Edward?

Perhaps after some movie watching, that might still happen... *grin*

Edward's definitely in liking, and she is as well. As she said, those Cullen men are creatures she's not immune to, the poor girl.

I wonder what kind of reaction the family (Edward) will have when she mentions sightseeing tomorrow. Will they panic? Willl Bella invite Edward over? They could use a guide...

See ya soon. Have fun sending out those teasers, you poor thing!

Spikey

This story is so beautiful. I love how Edward thought Jasper was Bella's boyfriend and got all sad about it.  I don't know how Edward is keeping it together.  A cake that said "happy birthday Dad" (or "mom" in my case) after years of not knowing where my baby was would have made me bawl.
