Jack curled up with Bella on the couch opposite of Edward, who was propped up with a ton of pillows. Her hand absentmindedly ran through the boy's hair and he hummed a contented sound. She heard a soft laugh come from Edward and looked up to see that he was smiling adoringly at her and Jack.

'Is it worth it?' She thought. 'Is potentially falling in love with him worth the heartache I'll feel at the end of the summer?'

His eyes moved up to hers and sent her a brilliant smile that made her breath catch in her throat.

The better question to have asked would have been, if it was even possible to avoid it happening any longer.    

 

And on another note.  I hope Marcus means well in this proposition.  Because Bella doesn't take crap from anyone.  I have a feeling she wouldn't be easily manipulated.  So, I hope it is a true can you help me with my wife and Esme situation instead of something else.  Yeah, there probably needs to be closure for everyone, and I hope that is what he is hunting for. But, I will wait for your update!

So confused on how she knows him.  Unless I have missed something somewhere. I could have, it's been a long day.  But good chapter.  I like seeing their relationships build slowly.  And I am SO GLAD that she and Em worked out their issue.  I know they will meet some bumps, but I see these two being amazing together.

I hope that the 7 I sent for the rating last chapter didn't mess your rating, it was definitely a mistake. I'm doing this from an iPad and it is so sensitive that I did something that was not intended. I love your story. It is definitely a 10.

I started reading this with a little hesitation-- I usually try to stay clear of the NC-17 rating because I don't enjoy reading lemons. I do however, enjoy good story lines and this one has captured me.
I've read though chapter 17 and I love the story so far. This intro was a great way to bRing you into the story. Thanks.

Bella laughed brightly during their back and forth banter, but noticed Emmett's stiff posture out of the corner of her eye. She bit her lip and decided that there was no time like the present to find out just what his problem was. She looked up into Edward's face and smiled.

"Do you think you could go check on Jack, to make sure he remembers his helmet and pads? He has a tendency to forget things when he gets excited."

Edward nodded and grinned before turning and heading up the stairs. When he was out of sight, she whirled to face Emmett and put her hands on her hips.

"What is your problem?"

"I don't know what you're talking about," he replied in a voice as blank as his face. She narrowed her eyes and took a step forward, so she wouldn't have to raise her voice.

"Yes, yes you do. I want to know what problem you have with me, that makes you feel the need to glower at the back of my head whenever you don't think I'm looking. Pretty soon Edward or Jack are going to notice, too, and I'll be damned if I let that happen. Both of them have already been hurt too much without adding you to the pile."

oh dear god lord have mercy that was an intense chapter and i wonder if victoria willcause more trouble?!

ohhh snap the parents have been found! and if he was on tv then why was he not informed of whats going on in washington? or tthey didnt look in any states? why didnt Edward do an Amber alert?

oh man i wonder how they are going to find his father well aka edward i hope (a) :P
