You're right, having a pre-mature baby IS scary! My 2nd daughter was born at 26 weeks & spent 13 1/2 weeks in the hospital. She had various complications but is quite healthy now at 17 months old.

First I think that Bella should grow some balls. She's always running away at the first sign of trouble. Secondly, the loss of a mother figure and the same time moving her to a new school is more detrimental to Carlie than the alleged kinky lifestyle. This is the the 2nd time that Bella has left and exposed Carlie to this. The girl will have trust issues that will follow her into relationships.
And the fact that Edward didn't really even fight very hard for her to stay? Same thing for him. Grow a couple. When the going gets tough, they both fold.

very surprised over Carlie's different reactions, and I started to suspect that the conversation with Will prior to that somehow played a part, though that could just be my paranoia and coincidence.

I understand Carlies reaction, it was very believeable. I'm thrilled everyone knows now. I was thinking that Rose might be a little upsat given that she might not be able to get pregnant. I'm thrilled with Jaz and Alice, Seth and Claire. Happiness everywhere, I love it!

I'm kinda surprised by Carlie's reaction and kinda not. I'm glad that Carlise stepped in and spoke with her. So renee is a fruit loop. Hmmm I'm not surprised in the least about this. :D I don't blame Bella one bit for not going to see her either.

No I was not surprised over Carlie's reaaction. It is normal for a older child to feel like that in the first place and then to have on top of that your mom is not your blood mom. So it natural at first she would think Bella would love the baby more. Which cases sometimes is true. just a tiny bit. But that hard not to feel that. She will love her baby sibbling it will just take time. That is life. I loved this chapter. Your a really good writer, Your story is surreal. But not. AMAZING.. Have a great day. Smiles Leona

My daughter was thirteen when we told her we were having a second & 16 months after #2 was born,came #3. She did NOT take the news well. After being an only child for so long, it was a huge adjustment for her.

So glad that they decided to be surprised about what they're having! These days, people find out ahead of time just because they can. So lame. Makes the arrival news so anti-climactic. First-time fathers don't even realize that they're gyping themselves. Nothing beats the big moment when the baby arrives and the exciting phone calls: "It's a ______!" That's the dad's moment! Embrace it!

Not surprised by Carlie's reaction at all - older kids can have a worse reaction due to age more than anything.
Will really miss this story when it is done. I get really excited everytime it updates!
