This was a fun chapter to write, with Jane and Will meeting Rob and being blown away by his apartment. I don't think her Mum was really going to take photos... I think she just likes to tease Gemma. Hehee.

Oh yay, you thudded again! It is a tradition, after all! Rob was pretty naughty in the bathroom, wasn't he? Filthy mouth indeed... Although he did put it to use fairly well. Ahem. Lucky Gemma! The dinner….truly excellent!  The entire chapter was excellent…but then again, when is it not?  Is it me, or do these two reside in a perpetual love haze when they are together? They only questions things when they are away from one another and that needs to stop.  Will and Jane are super cool and classy people.  Putting Sarah into the mix added just the right touch of lightness to the evening.  Naughty, naughty Rob and Gemma….I couldn’t believe they got it on with her parents in the next room! Can you imagine her father walking in on them…LMAO! Oh, you know what I absolutely loved? The way that Robert joined the others barefoot after his shower! It was a small little detail, but it did wonders for the relaxed ambience all the same.  I LMAO @ Robert getting Will drunk!  He really didn’t do it on purpose and was probably only being a good host, but was oh so funny!  I also liked the way that her parents surreptitiously gave them a bit of alone time with one another.  I awed at Jane referring to Robert as her future son in law.  So very sweet.  The dinner was a complete home run.

Intense…wow, that is the absolute perfect word to describe this chapter.  Robert may be all kinds of fucked up, as I so often like to tease, but one thing he is perfect at, is loving Gemma. The intensity of the love between Gemma and Robert is phenomenal.  Jane's gentle warning to Gemma was absolutely the right thing for her to have done.  It is her right and duty as Gemma's  mother, to urge her to show some caution of the situation she is now facing by virtue of her relationship with Robert.  No matter how much Robert and Gemma may wish it to be, their relationship isn't the typical everyday relationship between a man a woman.  This relationship will forever change Gemma's life and kudos to Jane for having the courage and wisdom to point it out to her.  I didn't take her warning to Gemma as a possible dislike of  Robert at all. On the contrary, I saw it as an attempt to help them by peeling away the surface layers keeping the problems buried.  She spent a day and evening in their company as an outside observer, and was able to gain invaluable insight into Rob and Gemma’s relationship.  As an objective person on the outside looking in, she probably saw and understood a lot more than the two of them combined.  She also happens to be Gemma's mothers and seems to know her daughter quite well.  Jane more than lived up to my expectations of a woman and as a mother... I really, really  like her.  It is quite clear where Gemma gets her adorability from, LOL.  Her gentle acceptance of Robert and of his importance to Gemma are very apparent. I really  hope that Jane’s acceptance was able to ameliorate some of Roberts feelings of unworthiness. I understand the questioning of the intensity of their feelings for one another based on the incredibly short amount of time that they've been together.  One month is indeed short but then so what? Does that invalidate their love for one another? Why should they slow down and take things slow if they honestly love one another the way that they both appear to do? What good will  progressing at a slower pace do? In my opinion, the one month duration of their relation is of zero importance if they really love one another.  Gemma was with Aaron for almost her entire life and look how that turned out...time makes no difference at all.  Love, respect, honesty, and passion are what matters.  Why should they have to wait to be happy when they already are?

I love all of the questions that are going through Gemma's mind. They needed to be considered and should really be addressed with Robert before they proceed much further in their relationship.  When they are together, Gem and Robert has the tendency of  getting lost within  one another....lost in their very own Robert and Gemma bubble where the outside world and their  problems just magically cease to exist. They really need to start being more cognizant of their many yet to be acknowledged issues.  Will was right to wonder about the end of summer vacation.  How will Gemma and Roberts’s relationship survive when they are both juggling very busy schedules?  What about the Eclipse premiere? Is she going to be his date?  If I remember correctly, real Robert's family attended the premier with him, are you going to keep to that as well Bee? And if so will Gemma meet his family at that time?  I'm dying to find out! My vote would be for Gemma to be his date, but we shall see how you play it.  I have absolutely no doubt that you will make it brilliant, no matter what you decide.

You wrote Will brilliantly!  You made him behave in the manner in which a  "real" father would. Thank you very much for sparring me the gun toting, physical violence threatening, Hollywood cliché of a father's first introduction to his daughters love interest.  Loved Will's calm and smooth manners.  Not every father goes around disliking and mistreating his daughter’s boyfriend without cause. I'm very happy that Will is giving Robert an honest chance at proving his worthiness For Gemma’s heart.

Robert blew my mind when he confessed how much the intensity of his love for Gemma frightens him.  Their love for one another seems to get stronger with each passing day.  Robert especially appeared to be overwhelmed by his love for her.  He seemed really lost without Gemma, hence the marathon of dirty (HOT) texts he sent her way.  You did a wonderful job portraying Robert’s need and desperation to be with Gemma.  It’s quiet telling how out of sorts he was spending a few days apart from her.  With each day that passes, I really believe Robert is coming to realize that being alone after having loved Gemma, is no longer an option for him.  Gemma’s love for Robert is also very strong and intense, but I think she’s still holding back a bit.  I loved Gemma’s last line, where she says “We loved each other completely.”  I think her insecurity came into play when she then asked the question “What could be wrong with that?”  The answer is, nothing.  There is absolutely nothing wrong with the intensity of their love for one another.  That question might have very well been meaningless, with zero intent…but, I still wonder :)  Gemma was wonderful during the set visit.  She handled her sorrow over being introduced as “My friend Gemma,”  as opposed to “My girlfriend, Gemma,” very, very well.  Big ups to her for that one.  I wouldn’t have been half as classy had I been in her shoes.  I know Robert is only trying to protect their privacy…but it’s still a bitter pill for her to swallow.  I also felt bad for Robert when he had to decline Will and Jane’s offer of joining them for dinner the following night.  His desire to accept the invitation was very obvious.  I know that it wasn’t intended to be funny, but Jane’s question on whether or not Robert and Gemma would continue to hide their relationship after they were married with children had me LMAO.  As you can tell….I REALLY, REALLY love Jane, LOL! She is like an older version of Gemma :)

Before I forget, let me say how much I love that your very last sentence is sometimes cut off. It makes me giggle. It's as though you've written so much that you just can't bear to finish your last thought and your hands just stop working. Hehee!

Back to the chapter... I'm so glad you liked it! The dinner was definitely a success. Gemma really had nothing to worry about - her parents are pretty laid-back, despite wanting the very best for their daughter. You're right, I don't think Rob meant to get Will drunk really; he was just being a good host and probably trying very hard to impress him! Aww, I love that you always pick up on the little details. I liked how Rob was barefoot too. It was meant to be a casual dinner, and that was part of it. Plus, barefoot Rob = always a win!

Jane definitely gave Gemma some interesting things to think about, didn't she? As you said in the beginning of your review, Gemma and Rob live in a perpetual love haze when they're together. Everything else pretty much ceases to exist - including Rob's crazy life of Twilight, fans, paparazzi, etc. Which could be a good thing, because they have fun and they relax each other, but it also means they've got a bit of talking and thinking to do. At the moment everything is fine, but as Jane pointed out - what happens later? When Gemma goes back to work and Rob travels for filming or heads back to London? They struggled to be apart for just a few nights. What's going to happen after a few weeks? Hmm. So yeah, they do only question things when they're apart, but they really need to start talking about them when they're together. You're very perceptive! :)

You're so right about it not being an issue that they've only been together for a month. It really doesn't matter! They adore each other and know each other inside out. I think the issue is more along the lines of what I just wrote about above - that they've only been together a month and there's still a lot they need to get through in the future.

I'm so happy you liked Jane and Will. I like them too! They're lots of fun to write. Gemma had to get her girly side and her calm side from somewhere, right!? And hehee, no. I didn't want to make Will the nasty, protective father. In my mind, Gemma has lived away from home for at least six years and she's been through a lot. So yes, they'd still be a little bit protective of her, but they also must trust her to make her own good decisions.

I think you summed it up well when you said how "out of sorts" Rob was without his Gemma! They've gotten so used to being with each other in such a short time, and yep, he really struggled. She relaxes him and he's come to rely on that to settle him down. So without her, he just wasn't operating properly. Aww. That's gotta freak a guy out a little bit, right? Especially an intelligent, crazy busy guy like Rob. That's why the intensity of it all frightens him. We may get to see in the next chapter how he deals with that. Hmm. Remember how much you really, really like Rob at the moment? Bear that in mind in the next chapter, okay? Okay! :)

As for Gemma's insecurities coming into play when she asked the question, "What could be wrong with that?" Well... yep! You're right again! She was worrying about things just a little bit too much again, and that also plays a bigger part in the next chapter. Eek, you're not going to want to read it now, are you? I hope you still do!

Wow, so many favorite lines!! Out of all those, I think I like... "You look after our girl now, won't you?"... Aww, Will. It's implying such a strong trust towards Rob there. Good for him!

Hehee, it has been suggested by a few other readers that Daniel might be gay, actually! I think that's what happens when there's a really nice, single guy around - women automatically think he must be gay. Hehee. But nope, he's not. He just didn't have much chemistry with Gemma.

Another fantastic chapter. I love the way Rob and Gemma's parents got on so well. It seemed like a fun, easy night for them all. Their private bathroom moment was hot!
