Maybe he's lying or passed out and woke up next to someone and assumed they did the deed. I can't believe it! I think we've all been there...madly in love and not seeing it coming until he's cheated and then you look back and it doesn't seem so surprising after all.  It sucks and reading that this fictional character that I happen to love is going through it sucks, too! Heaertbreaking!!!!!!!You promised me my happy ending and so I'm going to have faith! This chapter was a lot to process, I know! You're right though - these things tend to sneak up on us when we least expect them. As difficult as it is, I think we've definitely all been there in a relationship. Grrr, Rob!

But unfortunately, yes, he really did sleep with someone else. He was telling the truth about that. Why? We don't know that yet, but we will find out eventually. But yes, I have always promised a happy ending, and I'm standing by that promise! They've got a bumpy road ahead of them, but I hope you continue to stick around and see them through it.

That was more than a pop.  More like a nuclear explosion.  Can't say i'm surprised though.  Seems like their feelings were getting too intense and he couldn't deal with that.  What better way than to sabotage the relationship as fucked up as that may be.  He obviously thought it was for the best.  It's a shame that Gemma had to be hurt in that way.

This is his way of pushing her away - just like Tom said he would try to do. He couldn't show her any emotion because he knows what he is doing and if he said sorry, he wouldn't be able to follow through with the pushing away. What a bastard!

:) No hidding necessary!   Was it hard to read, yes. Is it what I wanted my adorable Rob to do, no. But the reason I love this story is because it is real.  Mess happens in real life, people do crappy things esspecially to those we love the most.  Rob's feelings for Gemma are getting off the chart, and his actions are showing how scared the fuck he is.  

To be honest I was getting scared that you might write some "drama" for sake of "drama, and was worried that I would be disappointed in the next chapter.  However, you stuck with reality...and it has worked out superb. 

I think you truly  have talent. Their actions are real, their voices are real, and their love makes my heart melt.

You're totally right - mess happens in real life! Although I always wanted this story to be happy and fun, I also wanted it to be realistic and this was the plan all along. Sad, but true. Sometimes reality comes along and gives us a good hard shake-up when we least expect it.

OK Rob is lying. Or he was set up by a gold digger. If he wants to push her away, why use the reason of sleeping around? He should know that that would not only push Gemma away but make it virtually impossible to pull her back.

I am thinking the Britpack need to hold an intervention for Rob,as in a previous chapter you had mentioned that Marcus was seen to be the father figure in the group and i think that is what he needs someone to put him on the right track again andmakehim wakeup. I hope he hasnt cheated on her and has lied about that, as I genuinely believe he does love her.

I think aswell Gemma shouldnt go to him as in previous cases that has been what she has done, Rob when he realises needs to beg on hands and knees.

And the random question is what is Rob going to be doing with the key that he has, is Sarah going to have the locks changed.

I love this story, everytime I see an update I do a dance of joy =) and I cant wait to see what else you have in store for us on this rollercoaster of a story

I feel like I should let you know though, that actually, Rob was telling the truth - he really did sleep with someone else. Eeek. Why? Don't worry, Gemma definitely won't be going to him this time around. It's far too serious for that, and she knows it. At this point she's really just in a state of complete shock.

Okay......I don't believe him, at all, he's not cheated on Gem.  The first part of this chapter when Rob was leaving to go to the interviews, I know how that goes, I've been there, he was saying goodbye, all those lingering looks from the doorway and coming back for more kisses and 'I love yous' this just says it all "I wish I could stay. But I can't. I have to go." That was a heart stopping moment for me and I just wanted to shout NO and hold Gem.

But why?  What has him running scared? Why is he pushing her away?  Does the love he feels frighten him so much is just overwhelms him?  Is he frightened that Gem with leave him and he'll be left high and dry?  A knee jerk reaction would be to get in first before he could be dumped.  Has the Hollywood lifestyle, all the falseness that exists, destroyed his self worth so much that he feels something as good as he and Gem have just couldn't be that good and real?

Get out of bed Gemma, you need to go fight for your man, he wasn't the Rob you know, he put him away in a box and brought out I don't deserve anything good happening to me Rob.  You're gonna need help, get on the phone, call everyone, speak to his mum, but most of all keep banging on his door until you get an answer and then don't take NO as that answer.

Out from behind the couch Bee, you need to post the next chapter pronto, I'm gonna drive myself insane with all these questions.

So first of all, eeeek. Sorry to say this, but Rob was actually telling the truth. He really did sleep with someone else. We don't know why yet, but we will eventually, I promise. You're right though - he was definitely saying goodbye as he left that morning. He was way too serious and contemplative and if Gemma was awake properly, she probably would have realised that.

The questions you're asking are all excellent ones, and many of them are the exact same questions that she asks herself in the next chapter. As much as I'd love to, I don't want to answer them right now. We will get answers in the story, but not yet. Sorry! 

As for Gemma going to fight for her man, I don't think she's quite ready for that yet. She's still in complete shock and hasn't even fully accepted the truth yet. She still has a while to go, as well as dealing with her sadness, anger, etc... But as you said, he wasn't the Rob she knows. Sigh. Poor Gemma!

I think he is lying a out sleeping with someone else. I do think he would do that. This was completely unexpected to me. I do realize that Rob and friends has been warning her about pushing her away but this isn't just pushing her away, this is full on hurting her.
I wonder what happened to make him do this?
I absolutly can NOT handle angst for very long and I'm hoping those two are happy together and soon. If you don't have it planned for them to be happy any time soon, could you please let me know? I will be more than happy to wait until happy time between the two but, I just can not handle prolonged angst.

Sorry for making you wake up to this! It was a big chapter to take in, I know. Trust me, it was just as hard writing it as it was to read it!

In a way, I wanted it to be unexpected to you. I wanted it to come as an awful shock, because that's exactly what Gemma experienced. I know that sounds awful, but sometimes reality hits us when we're least expecting it. Sigh. :(
