My vote is most definitely Rob! :) Once again, your writing is beyond excellent. I love your attention to detail and how you are not rushing the story. I liked reading about the date and her inner conflict in questioning the choice that she made in honoring the date with Daniel. Your compromise of having her keep the date and joining Rob and company after the date was perfect. I didn't find her behavior slutty at all, everything was just perfectly written. I feel so sad for Gemma in that her self esteem seemed to have taken a hit after Aaron. Or is her disbelief of Robert liking her just the way that she is? I personally don't see any reason why he wouldn't like her even if he is THE Robert Pattinson. She is beautiful, articulate, caring, and very witty. He would be lucky to have her. I love Bobby Long! The relationship he is devloping with Gemma is very sweet in a brotherly manner. The chemistry between Rob and Gemma is amazing!

I'm so glad you like the pace of the story. It's definitely not rushed. I was worried readers might freak out that it's Chapter 4 and they still haven't even kissed, but it's all about the UST (Unresolved Sexual Tension) between Gemma and Rob, right!? They'll get there eventually!
You're right - Gemma's self esteem has taken a hit after Aaron. She doubts herself quite a bit and really hasn't given her heart to anybody since. I wonder if Rob might be able to change that... ;)
It's great to hear that you love Gemma too. I think she's great and it's so nice to hear that others do too. I think Rob definitely realizes how lucky he would be to have Gemma. He's definitely smitten!

Sarah's comment to Gemma - 'I'm quite sure he's in love with you!' Sooo typical of girly, drunken banter where everything is over stated. Love it!
Also, I have to say, my favourite visual in this chapter was where Rob was eyeing her over his bottle of Heineken - for some reason, that was such a strong image you conveyed there. Fabulous!
Now, the thing is, Daniel has been sooo sweet, but he doesn't give her goose bumps! That is not good...Rob, on the other hand, appears to be evoking all kinds of tipsy turvy things for her and therefore, I VOTE ROB! ;)
As for predictions...hmmmn...I'm not sure. I have a feeling that maybe if anything of a physical nature does happen between them, it's bound to be strong in intensity - but will Gemma back out rather than give in to her hormones? I wonder...There's definitely a quiet confidence about Rob here, which I think could possibly mean he might make a move. The way he cornered her briefly at the car was veeeery naughty but nice! I kind of think if something does happen, if anyone backs out it'll be Gemma, not Rob.
I'm probably totally wrong! But hey...there's my predictions. Well done hon, fantastic chapter as always! x

Anyway, I vote Rob too. You're so right - Daniel doesn't give her goosebumps, and every girl needs goosebumps, right?
Your predictions were interesting and clever. I like what you said about Rob having a quiet confidence. You never quite know what he's got up his sleeve... Time will tell. Gemma's definitely trying to keep things light at the moment, but maybe some swimming pool action might change things. Hmmm!

Ok, so the date with Daniel went well - but if I didn't know he was straight, I would have suspected he was gay. *L* I guess my point is that from personal experience, that you can have the greatest friendship in the world as the basis of a relationship, but if you don't have spark, then maybe it just isn't right.
The fact is that Gemma feels that spark with Rob and it's the perfect example of where you have the potential of a great friendship too because you can talk and joke & feel comfortable around one another, but you have that zing that just makes you want to be in constant contact with them.
Cannot wait to see where this develops :) I don't imagine it's going to be smooth sailing between Gemma & Rob but I suspect he may very well put himself out there on the line and admit that he wants to see where the two of them could go.

I chuckled to myself when I read your thoughts about Daniel being gay. He's not, but as I was writing his character, the thought crossed my mind too! He's definitely "friend" material for Gemma, whether she realises it or not. Poor Daniel.
There's definitely a 'spark' between Rob and Gemma - you hit the nail right on the head! They're definitely drawn to each other. They get along really well, but clearly there's something more between them. Whether or not they'll both let it become more straight away is another story... ;)
Great prediction, by the way! You're right - it's not all smooth sailing, but it never is in relationships, is it? More will be revealed in the next chapter!

Very lovely story. I absolutely love Gemma. She really is an adorable drunk :) Loved how she kept calling Rob Robert Pattinson and Bobby Bobby Long LOL. I also liked her spotty shoes. Rob seemed really smitten with her but I guess after everything that happened with Aaron, she is a bit understandably hesitant. The chemistry between her and Rob was amazing though, very sweet. Even though she doesn't seem to have the same connection with Daniel, I'm proud of her for not cancelling on him. Don't get me wrong....I want her to be with Robert, but she already had plans scheduled with Daniel and it would have been wrong of her to cancel on him so last minute just because Robert Pattinson and friends asked her out unexpectedly. Ally and Marcus turned me off a little bit. They met and two seconds later were already sucking face. I don't know....but to me it just seemed kinda cheap and slutty. As for Aaron...I really hate him. I felt so bad for Gemma after reading the section where you detailed her history with him. Why does he keep asking her if she is seeing anybody special? Does he think that he is going to play the field now but eventually go back to her? What a first rate prick!
Your writing is excellent by the way. Oh and I absolutely love your banner! It is what first drew me to this story. The pciture of Rob and the girl portraying Gemma is very adorable! Who is she by the way? She looks familiar. Anyway, I can't wait for the next update. Thank you very much for such of a long, detailed, and well written chapter.

It's so great to hear you're enjoying the story and that you're loving Gemma. I love her too! She frustrates me at times, but you're right - she's definitely hesitant about starting anything with a guy she actually has real feelings for, ie - Rob. Part of her reasoning for still meeting Daniel was because he's the safe, easy option. But it's also partly because she's just a nice girl who sticks to her plans! Plus, she sincerely doesn't believe that Rob has any feelings for her whatsoever. He's Robert Pattinson, after all! We know differently though, right? ;)
Aw, Ally and Marcus like each other, really! They just started their relationship with a drunken bar kiss, that's all!
And oooh, Aaron. I hate Aaron too. It's fun to hate a character sometimes though! Every story needs a baddie.
I'm glad you like the banner. I wanted it to be fun, summery and girly, like the story. 'Gemma' is actually Odette Yustman. She's in a few movies - Cloverfield most recently. I started writing the story and for some reason, she's exactly who I imagined in my mind as Gemma.

I definitely would have modified my original plans to meet Rob too. Poor Gemma is just feeling a bit flummoxed by the whole Robert Pattinson thing and chose the nice, safe Daniel option instead.

I like to think I'm a 'nice' girl, but dayum, if I had even a hint that Rob wanted to see me again in real life, I would have postponed the date for sure. Gemma basically admitted to herself she goes for nice guys because she doesn't want to be 'with' them.
Can't wait to read about the date & hopefully Gemma turning up at the hotel and making Rob a hell of a lot happier :)
