Wow, a heart-to-heart, a spectacular blow-job for 'Robbie', acknowledgement by a member of the Brit-pack, and our man of the moment telling Gemma that he wants to make love to her and he wants to wait until she's ready to accept that, and he's ready to give her that. I can't imagine how hard it would be for a guy to pull himself up and behave when they physically want one another that badly.

Gemma's conversations with her Mum and Sarah really highlighted what I suspected to be Rob's reasoning behind why he wants her to still go on the lunch date with Daniel. Personally, I'm hoping she politely excuses herself from the lunch and then tells Rob that she appreciates the sentiment but she only wants to be with him for him. Just HER Rob.

Rob definitely has a lot of restraint, doesn't he? Augh! He really does want to make sure she's ready for that step now that he knows about her shaky history with men, but also, he wants to make sure he's ready too. He knows sleeping with her would be more than just sex now... And that's a big deal.

I'm glad you appreciated the conversations between Gemma and her Mum and Sarah. I hate to devastate you though... but Gemma really does go on her date with Daniel. We find out how that goes in the next chapter... and we'll see how Rob deals with it too. Hmm! It would be great if Gemma could tell Rob that she just wants to be with him and not Daniel, but really, she already has. She told him that at Marcus' concert, and Rob told her to go on the date anyway. Ho-hum. Poor Gemma! She's so confused.

I really love the romance/tortured side of Rob that we're seeing.  I love that he's so thoughtful of Gemma and her feelings and emotions.  That makes me happy. :) 

Also, I really want Sarah to be my new best friend. ;) 

I do think that Rob is falling for her, but knowing the industry he's in (agreeing with Sarah here), he's trying to keep Gem open for other men.  Which sucks for both of them. :)

I doubt Rob is deliberately distancing himself because his actions prove otherwise. He wants to WAIT to MAKE LOVE.

It seems the issue is more that Rob isn't sure Gem will want to stick around, but he definitely wants her to. Am I right?

So our dear Gemma is a bit klutzy.  And dear Rob has an underlying sadness.  His fame makes him lonely.  His attraction to Gemma is a need to find normalcy.  To be himself.  Have a relationship apart from the craziness that is his life.  Self deprecation is a coping mechanism to defend against being hurt.  Gemma is very real.  Honest.  THey both have an underlying passion.  She needs to stop bumping into things.  How many bags of peas does he have to go thru?  Loving this story.  (I tend to get wordy. When I review, I take it seriously. I try to give honest feedback. Sexy times are always great.  But without good story and character definition it's like frosting without the cake for substance.)

Yep, Gemma was definitely klutzy last night, but I think it more to do with the large amount of alcohol she'd drunk than anything else. Hehee. Thank goodness for frozen peas!

You're so right about Rob... there's definitely some underlying issues there, that Gemma is yet to really understand. It'll come out a bit more in the next couple of chapters as they get to know each other better. He's definitely attracted to Gemma because she's so real and honest, but on the other hand, it freaks him out a little bit too, because he knows very well what his crazy life is like. Sigh!

I'm so glad you're loving the story, and don't worry, I love wordy, honest reviews! I get wordy too, clearly. I tried to make my characters as real and as flawed as the rest of us... Sometimes they frustrate even me, but that's life! There will be sexy times along the way but I don't think it's the focal point of my story... Is it? Eeek!
