This conversation was held after dinner.  Men usually worked from dawn to dusk but a woman's work was never done!  So, Edward was relaxing after dinner.

Whoa, lol! That was said whole-heartedly!

In fact, from the same source, she had gotten the idea that a man would lie with a woman, but maybe, according to matron, it should have been better stated as ‘lie upon a woman.’ 

Before her talk with matron, she had no idea that there was an ‘appendage’ involved that would rise like a serpent to ‘plunder’ her womanly ‘depths.’

OMG... /Help/... I don't know if I should rotfl, or be mortified in her place. And the horse reference!

It took Bella every ounce of her self-discipline not to look at Edward’s snake hiding trousers.

*snort* Yeah, can't really blame the girl right there, huh? :-P

By now Edward had a pretty prominent erection and he was pressing it into Bella’s hip but he wasn’t sure she knew what she was feeling there.  Should he tell her his snake was on the loose? Probably not.

No... I don't think so, either... *grin*

Edward was trying to count backwards from one hundred in a vain attempt to forestall his climax but he never made it to ninety-three.

EDWARD! Motherf... *complains* Not yet! *shakes head sadly* *sighs*

THAT WAS ABSOLUTLY BEAUTIFUL         

I loved Edward's reaction to her wanting to learn to shoot a gun. Poor guy thinking he wasn't doing a good job. Edward reciting the song and the I love you's were perfect.

Aww that was sweet of Edward to go get her a ring. It was really nice of the maid to explain things to Bella so she wouldn't worry and be a little bit prepaired.

I'm glad that she agreed to marry him and his reaction to when she said yes was great.

I love their letters to each other.

Wow...that whole loving scene whilst quoting the scriptures would probably have freaked me out normally (I have major religion issues thanks to an overzealously religious mother growing up) but for some reason I just melted reading that. To know how deeply Edward & Bella love each other already...they're just perfect together.

Can't wait to read about Bella learning to shoot a gun :)

I was hesitant using scripture in this chapter but it just fit -- it fit Edward -- it fit Bella -- it fit the times.  E&B were unapologetically faithful. That's just the way folk were in the day.

I, myself, am religious, believe it or not, but I believe just as Edward taught Bella.  Marital love is a gift form God to be rejoiced in.  I was trying to express that pov here.
