I kind of guessed that ending would come. It's so sad to read it, knowing she was going to die in the end.
It makes you think, though, whether he would ever regret not turning her now that she has gone. She might have experienced all human things, but now she's gone and they can't spend forever with each other :(
Author's Response: Hi Paula!
This was a horrible one to write actually. It kept me up all night and I knew I had to get it down, but I cried at the end.
I envisaged that, too late, Rose would see she was wrong, Edward would kill himself and Alice will have had to live with the knowledge that the family she loved was going to be decimated. Thank goodness it didn't happen that way!!!

This is a first...I can't believe i'm about to cry right now.
it's so touching.
you're good. :)
Author's Response: Thank you very much. I normally don't like sad stories, but I just got thinking about what things would have been like had Edward got his own way. I'm so very glad that it didn't happen this way!
Go and read something happy now!! :)

*Sniff*, ----, excellent job, but so very sad. I'm glad Bella and Edward made their compromise.
Ashling.
Author's Response: I normally like to write happy endings, but this one just came to me one night, and I had to get it down. I was crying when I wrote it. lol
Thankfully, despite Edward's stubborness, Bella was able to get her HEA in the saga.
Thanks for the review. :)

Author's Response: Bless you! I can't get through the door now - my head is too big!!! Thanks so much for reviewing - and dry those tears. :)

Thanks so much for reviewing.

OMFG what a tender, poignant tale. To imagine that Edward would be so stubborn and not take the path to unending love and partnership. What a fool to let go the most wondrous thing in this life.
I met my soulmate this year, after 30 years of living a very unsatisfactory life. It has given me an even greater insight into the true deep love conveyed by the Cullen saga. I thought I understood before meeting my soulmate, but how wrong I was - it is even more intense and beautiful than I could ever have imagined. In fact, he has texted me a dozen times during the reading of your other story this evening, and once just as I finished this one, telling me just how much I've captured his heart.
I also howled at the end of reading this story and know that pain will be mine one day, when we too are separated.
Author's Response: There is an agony aunt that used to be around a few years ago called Claire Rainer. (British). I remember reading an interview with her after her husband died - he was her soul mate. She said that she would never have missed one moment with him, but her life would only ever be a half life from then on. I have never found that for myself. My husband is a lovely man and I love him to bits, but he has never touched the depths of my soul - no-one has. I have yearned for it, but its not going to happen for me.
Make every second count and live like there is no tomorrow. I wish you every happiness.
Thank-goodness Edward didn't get his wish in Twilight!!!

I want to call you evil.
It was very moving and I cried.
Author's Response: You can call me evil if you like! I felt evil writing it. I can't say I'm glad I made you cry, but I know how you feel as I cried as I was writing it. Thank-goodness he didn't get his own way!
Thanks for taking the time to review.

Literally sitting here sobbing like a baby! Damn you! Just kidding, haha. It was so beautifully written, so heartbreaking. You did an exceptional job. Okay, I need to go find a tissue now. :)
Author's Response: Thank-you so much. I cried while I was writing it, so I know how you feel! Glad you liked it.

Author's Response: I don't think I could! I just see the family falling apart and Edward going to the Volturi, and the fact that little Alice has seen this for years. Sorry I made you cry, but I was crying when I wrote it too!

Short but amazing. I'm sitting here crying. And I'm sure Edward just realized his huge mistake - but too late...
Author's Response: Thats the real heartbreak I think. We know how wonderful it would have been for him to have her forever.

Oh, no offense - but I hate you. It's 4 am and you made me cry with that beautiful, heartbreaking one-shot. Ok, so I don't really hate you; I lied. That story was AH-MAAZING!
Author's Response: Don't worry - I hate myself for imagining it!!! Glad you liked it.

I REALLY loved this. It was beautifully written. I honestly believe that this is the way Edward wanted it. Sometimes I just think he's the most pathetic excuse for a being on the planet- SM wrote him to be extremely selfish. I both love and hate him. Because he would've rather killed himself than been happy with the woman of his dreams. His soulmate! UDFKGKNG DFNKDFNS EDWARD!
Seriously loved it though!
Author's Response: I am so glad he got some balls in Eclipse, because this to me was the saddest future they could ever have. I seriously think it would have been better for Bella to die early and tragically than to waste away like this. I adore Edward, but I am glad that he didn't get his own way! If anything, Bella proved to him over and over that his way was wrong. He only believed it after Renesmee was born and Bella became a vampire.
I also wonder what Rose was saying to him on Bella's deathbed. Sorry perhaps?
So glad you liked it.

Beautiful story but of course tragic and heartbreaking at the same time. I'm a bit overwhelmed by it, to be honest. Thanks for writing this, amazing job as always.
Author's Response: As always, I love your reviews. The one I feel sorriest for is Alice, who not only has lived this for the past 50-60 years, but who knows what will happen afterwards. It doesn't look like the Cullen's will be able to recover from the aftermath of Edward's arbitrary decision. Thank-goodness he didn't get his own way.

i freakin' hate edward. amazing story, i loved it. it made me cry. you are an amazing writer.
Author's Response: Thank-you for reviewing. I'm sorry I made you cry :(
Don't hate Edward, pity him. He had the love of his life in his hands and he threw her away.

Beautiful and bittersweet, but painfully sad.
Author's Response: It hurt me to think of it. Apart from Edward, I think Alice would have suffered the most. i don't imagine the Cullen's ever recovering from it either.
Hope you weren't too sad!
