Awwww....L is prettier than Nanny even on her worse day!  Just not at a Cullen level.  But that's changing.  =)

OK, now I get it that Lord Masen and Edward are one and the same. it's kind of scary that the nomads have arrived. Fifty young, tender and tasty human students to eat...oh my!

Ooooo -- cliffhanger! So perhaps Lord Masen has a romantic interest in Bella??? I'm assuming that his disfigurement and loss of limb is associated with the fire, but perhaps you'll tell us a different reason.

Isn't the proper phrase "gone to hell IN a handbasket?" It sounds like you know lots more about this period than I do, so forgive my impertinance if I'm wrong!

The proper phrase is "Hell in a handbasket" but I was doing a play on words.  Since L has her ever present handbasket and the story sort of took a wild turn in that chapter, it worked.  I love word twists.  And plot twists.  *grin*

Enthralled by this story! Fun to think about whether the students are the only one not in on the magic (which I think is the case from what I've read so far) ... and why it is that the Cullens stage this event each summer. Just for something interesting to do? After all, eternity can get boring without diversions ...

Thanks!  The Cullen's mainly do this as a favor for L.  To keep her busy though as the story develops, the need for that lessens.

Bella upset over Edward's behavior.  The reason might just be her attraction towards him is more than she voluntarily will allow herself to recognize and take to heart.  Since I believe Lord Masen is Edward in his romantic and kindness the attraction and electricity at his touch is what she'd feel if Edward would touch her and not act like a complete jerk.  Another vampire arrived to woo "L".  William Lawrence.  Quite a gentleman and very romantic with the words of flowers.  Very much into L.  The two adults agreed to chaperon Bella with her picnic with Lord Masen.  By chance she had a beautiful blue silk dress in her armoire with matching flats.  The coach picked them up on schedule.  The housekeeper Becca directed them to the yard where the luncheon would occur.  Under a huge tent.  The table set to the nines.  Totally gorgeous and full of food.  since the only two eating would be Bella and L.  Just as they were about to have the first course, two nomadic vampires arrived wanting to talk with Lord Masen.  It was only when James threw the hairpiece Lord Masen's housekeeper was wearing that he got up and spoke with the two men.  Laurent and James.  Those rogue vampires had drained that poor girl, Becca.  Evil demons.  Lord Masen had thrown the headpiece to Will who showed it to L.  Danger will be thrown into the mix of the experience for Bella.  She smells too delicious to be completely safe.  The Cullens will have to be on guard 24/7 over Bella.  I still so sad for Becca.  An innocent just getting college credit for her summer experience.  To just die by the hands and teeth of a vampire.

Just remember....I rarely do what is expected.  That's your hint for the beginning of the next chapter.  What happened to Becca will more than likely be the teaser on the thread (probably appearing toward the end of the week).  Thanks for your review!

I'm still trying to figure out who L is, and now Will.  I'm also trying to figure out who Masen is, he can't be Edward in a mask because they were in the same room together at one point, right?  I'm kinda lost, but enjoying the story...the mystery has me intrigued.

L is a hybrid.  Will is not.  More on his history is coming up.  Masen/Edward/??? will be revealed layer by layer.  Glad you're intrigued, though!  It means I'm successful!  Thanks for reviewing!
